This gallery recently celebrated 90 years of business because they live, love and breathe art. The down to earth staff and owners are artists and collectors themselves, and they care deeply that the experiences of both buyers and artists are good ones. Their broad knowledge of art and their artists guarantees that buyers are acquiring quality artwork, whether historical or contemporary. Paintings can be borrowed on spec, ensuring the best choices are made, and payment plans are always  available. 

Artists can expect the opportunity to exhibit in group shows, or throughout the year, along with possible publicity in art publications. Most importantly, artists are free to paint whatever they choose, and the feedback from staff is helpful. Any difficulties that may arise are handled with clear communication and resolved with grace and integrity.

A person can spend a good amount of time wandering in the gallery –  everyone is completely unpretentious and genuine -  and there are so many beautiful sculptures and lovely paintings to enjoy.

I have visited Gainsborough Galleries on several occasions during my visits to Alberta, Canada.  The gallery staff members are extremely knowledgeable about art in general and the gallery features the works of a number of very talented Canadian painters and artists.  Currently, I have four of their oil paintings hanging in my home, including an autumn landscape by artist Robert E. Wood which enjoys pride of place in my living room.  I highly recommend Gainsborough Galleries to anyone looking to add a beautiful piece of art to their lives!
