Gabriels Pizza

Has gone downhill over the past four years. It was once a top choice in Centretown when I'd get together with friends but we visit and order elsewhere now. I mentioned while ordering a while back that the pizza was skimping on ingredients and was bready. The delivery version is even worse. High price for a round piece of bread.

Breakfast special was okay but scanty for the price. The ketchup bottle had run out and it was difficult to get the attention of the Waitress who was absorbed in chatting with a customer. I doubt if I will return.

We have been to Gabriel a few times now and kids love this place. So when the birthday meal came up, this place was selected. Never been for lunch/brunch at GP. There were some breakfast options available but we selected the lunch menu. The all time favourite Mediterranean Agnolotti, Pizza and Pasta Fettuccine Alfredo, Vegetarian Wrap and a new dish that we hadn't tried a Spaghetti Al Forno but with no meat sauce; baked with cheese. The Agnolotti is just as amazing we have always had. The pizza and pasta is again the same and both get 5/5. The Spaghetti Al Forno was just the perfect pasta dish we have tried. The sauce rich and perfectly seasoned. The pasta cooked perfectly and the cheese on top was a cherry on top. The Wrap was good as well, however I wish that there are some protein choices or some non dairy choices on pizzas. The location is good and we were lucky that the day was good and even though seated inside all the doors and windows were open. Limited parking nearby but that is expected on Bank Street downtown.

My partner and I ordered meals. My partner’s meal arrived after 45min and then I was told they were out of my meal and would I like to order something different - that should have been told to me when the order went to the kitchen, not 45 min later and not when my partner’s meal was delivered. Then the cheque came wrongly priced and a beverage we did not order added to the bill. We were so eager to leave we didn’t even bother waiting for it to be corrected we just leave no tips bc the service was so horrible. Also my partner’s lasagna tasted like an entire bottle of salt was poured into it - it was indelible. His pizza was good. My salad was ok.

The pizza was okay, but the staff was terrible. We stopped here because they have gluten free pizza my husband is Celiac. We were never greeted, despite multiple servers walking around and bartenders behind the counter. We went up to the bar to ask if we placed orders there and were told yes how would we know that?. The toppings on the gluten free pizzas all included gluten how does that make sense?, so we asked for a substitute. The employees seemed annoyed and disinterested. We weren't given napkins or silverware. Employees stayed behind the bar eating and talking. People came in after us and were not welcomed or addressed, either. This was during Pride, so a super busy time and good opportunity to make money, but the employees couldn't be bothered. Customer service was non-existent, and we won't be back. Do not recommend this place AT ALL. The price is also not worth what you get.

Amazing local pizza and pasta! Brought it back to our hotel for supper tonight and it was excellent

Went for brunch here Saturday morning because it said they opened at 8am... showed up at 810am... was told they don't serve food til' 9am... why open your doors at 8am if you don't open til' 9am? Horrible advertising for a business.

Ordered a chicken alfredo. Dish was ok nothing fancy. Would have tasted better if used fresh chicken and sauce spiced a bit. Excellent service by the lovely lady there.
