Gabe and Izzy's - East Coast Deli

The hours are pretty weird, and you can't trust what it says online, because he doesn't update them right away if he changes them in my experience. I've been there four times (nine sandwiches), and twice he's messed up my order (four sandwiches). Sandwiches are good, prices are good, but the store is uncomfortably small. The owner has tended to be friendly/cold off and on, there's not much telling. All in all, it's inconsistent. When it's good, it's extremely good, but that makes it disappointing when it isn't.

Synopsis: Fantastic Sandwiches, High prices, Poor treatment Explanation: My corned beef on rye was stellar. As a combo I believe I paid in proximity of $16, and that's just crazy. These are sandwiches, not space shuttles. The man making my sandwich was pushy and unpleasant -- Perhaps he was having a bad day, or maybe I'm just a douche.

I got the shredded chicken sub "spicy momma style". It's loaded with meat and made just the way I like it. This place will customized your sandwich/sub/salad for you.. how could you go wrong. And seriously, if your face isn't messy after eating a sandwich.. are you really eating one at all?
