The place is clean as should be and the price are reasonable as well as the portion. However, it is the lack of authenticity that make me give 3 stars. This is a Chinese restaurant but the flavors are not authentic. Living in Quebec city, i know that most people here will like it but if you have tasted chinese food in restaurant other than quebec city, you will know that the flavors are not authentic. So a bit disappointed about this. Other than that, the taste is still good. The service is just ok.
What a waiste of money and time!! I waited an extra 25 mins because she told me it needed more time to cook the dim sums as they dont do them in advance. Which i was ready to wait! What a mistake i did! When i received my food an hour later, i was so hungry i just took one of the pork dim sum i ordered and ate it! I found the taste was off.....i was right. The meat that was supposed to be cook was raw in the middle!!!!! I ate Raw pork!!!!!!! Omg i can’t believe this! It cost me 70$ for theses items that was a total waiste! The spring rolls with meat were tripled cooked. Hard as wood n without any meat in sight! I can’t believe people can rob money for this!
We drive up and see an old Victorian house converted into a restaurant. Prices on the menu looked a little steep for Chinese food. We were completely blown away from our experience. The staff was very friendly, the atmosphere was really good and the food was out of this world good. We had the General Tao, shrimp fried rice and the Szechuan shrimp. All three dishes were delicious. The quality of the food was simply amazing. Keep up the great work. We definitely come back to eat here if we were ever in Quebec City again. Sorry for poor picture we just wanted to dive in.
The worst food ever. And way pricey for the portion or what they make. They can easily win a prize for the restaurant with the smallest portions in Quebec! I ordered ginger chicken - they make it loaded with sugar, and the worse is they use Japanese Gari sushi ginger in a Chinese ginger chicken sauce! Disgusting, not authentic and a rip off for $24! The portion is so small and food disgusting! No one who really wants to have Chinese or just food should go there!
Nice people good service Untasteful food and very expensive Not worth it Wat some where else
DON'T GO THERE!!!! The food is totally DISGUSTING and not edible. The chicken in the general tao smelled and tasted funky and the orange beef is extremely dry and borh dishes were beyond sallty and sweet. 60$ for 2 small dishes that it went to the garbage. Total disappointment... ***DON'T BELIEVE THE POSITIVE REVIEWS BELOW. IT'S CLEAR THEY ARE FABRICATED!!!***
We had Chinese Dinner on two evenings at this wonderful place. Besides good ambience and food, the most striking feature of this restaurant is SARAH. She was the most energetic, polite, hospitable person who served us on both days. Despite rush, she handled all guests with eloquence and charm. Her suggested dishes were amazing and perfectly suited our taste buds. Superb experience. Must visit!!
The food is good, but it’s way too much expensive for nothing. The same dish in chinatown in montreal is 11.99 instead of 20.00 $. There is nothing to justify whatsoever the price charged by this restaurant for most dishes.
The food was delicious and the service was friendly. We took the 2-person tasting menu. I especially liked the general Tao chicken. The starter wonton soup was delicious as well. I liked the fact that we could get a doggie bag, not a custom everywhere in Quebec City. I'm not used to eating salty, what the food was, so the next day it took me a while to feel well again.
Amazing food and service! The house specialty, Peking Duck, is a must. It's served for two with amazing presentation. You will also have plenty to take home with you for the next day. They must have read the prior reviews because there were plenty of wontons in the soup. The spring rolls were amazing too.
