Where to start ? If I can rate this place with 5 diamonds I would! I found this adorable restaurant on Google and decided to give it a try. Went tonight with my husband and 2 daughters. The food exceeded our expectations. We've eaten at many restaurants and have traveled many places but this is HANDS DOWN the best meal we've ever eaten in a restaurant. Not only is the food out of this world but so is the staff. As we were leaving my kids asked when we will be back - it's that good The portions are so generous and not only were our taste buds dancing but our eyes are pleasantly pleased with presentation. Can't wait to go back and try the other items on the menu
Amazing food and service. 5 star presentation and lots of time in between plates to enjoy the company and wine. Will definitely return.
This tiny restaurant has exceeded our expectations. The food is really good, the atmosphere is warm, the service is fast and pleasant. We were there on a Sunday evening. The only issue I had was the table size, but I would have had the same issue anywhere in Sainte Rose as the houses are small and ... I have to admit it... I am a big man :-
Delicious food and great service, the waiters are so kind and helpful when it comes to explaining the food. Definitely recommendFood: 5/5
Congratulations! Everything was above expectations, starting from the entrees, main dish and dessert in a cozy warm seating, highly recommended
Food was delicious and wonderful wait staff. I had to change our reservation several times and they were very accommodating. We don’t speak any French but they gave us English menus and we did not have any problems. Even with the language barrier we had many laughs with the staff. Definitely recommend!
i want to thank the staff for their quick and honest reply. as i said , everyone there looked like they were enjoying their food and of course good taste is subjective. I originally gave his a 3 star, but i feel its a 3.5 considering the effort these people make in keeping the clientele happy. MAKE A RESERVATION and give it a try. you may be satisfied with the quality of the recipes … but don’t expect high end tastes. ****** First, the positives: Ingredients were nice and fresh and presentations were great as expected.the staff is very professional and courteous….. Perfect customer service. but the food. We were first offered an amuse-bouche, which is a little appetizer chosen by the chef and given without cost. What we we were given were 4 or 5 chips maybe shrimp with a small saucer of dipping sauce. These chips, can be found in a large bag for a dollar or two and showed no imagination by the chef at all. We shared a crab and shrimp cake. This was the worst crab cake i have ever eaten. The taste was OK, but the coating was not crispy at all. More limp than anything. The inside was just a gooey mush and not the expected pieces of crab and shrimp you would expect at this price. The salad it was sitting on was very tasty though. The server than took the empty plate away and asked us to keep our knives... For such an expensive meal, you would think they would have enough money to wash the knives and give us clean ones for the next course. Food Service 101, which obviously the management missed that day in school, tells you that if you are eating fish, it is proper to change all the cutlery if your next dish is meat.. I would have expected the kkep-your-knife directive to happen in a diner. For the main course we ordered two plates . The first was chicken strips in a peanut sauce and fried spinach. The sauce was delicate and quite average tasting. Most of the spinach had become soggy due to the chef pouring the sauce over the chicken and spinach, rather than spreading the sauce over the chicken and layering the crispy spinach on top. Maybe it was in the kitchen, but not the time we received it. The next dish was strange. It was listed as pork medalions. Google 'medallion' and you should see a round thin piece of meat like ... well... a medallion... What we got were chunks of pork tenderloin. chunks of different sizes.. The sauce was a caramel ginger sauce of which i hardly tasted any ginger. The pork tenderloin was a tenderloin in name only. There was nothing tender about this loin. Besides a block of rice, each plate had a small bowl of mixed vegetables. To me,, it appeared they had made 5-spice the predominant flavour. 5-Spice is very pungent and is good to complement asian dishes with many flavours. If you adore this spice you might have enjoyed this. Service was fast and friendly. i can only comment on the chef. 3 days ago we had dined at an asian restaurant which was better and was 1/2 the price. Some of these issues can be fixed , although the place was very busy and people seemed to enjoy themselves which is absolutely great and I commend the restaurant to making these people happy.
Fresh homemade ingredients , its a zen place , i love general tao , ive had it at allot of restaurants and so far this restaurant is my top favouriteee general tao dish , good job chef et brigade
I don't understand all the good comments . The food is extremely disappointing . I could make better food at home . Felt like a scam . For the price it is scandalous . Only honorable mention is our waitress who tried everything she can to make our dinner enjoyable .
We have been to this restaurant many times, however the last time 2 days ago. The main dishes were a little disappointing, had the Orange Beef dish and the orange flavor was way too overwhelming. My spouse had a chicken with peanut sauce, again, the peanut flavor was too much. I guess the Chef was having an off day. Will give it another try in the near future, the place is very charming and located in the picturesque of old Ste. Rose.
