Good pancakes. I don't have anything to compare them too so just going off of my own experience here. Service was quick, wait was about 10 to 15 minutes, and pancakes were tasty. Soft, light and quite eggy. However, they were pretty pricey and with tip came out to $40+.
Finally got to try FuwaFuwa in Ottawa! I really lobed their pancakes - they were delicious, fluffy, and soft. I tried the original FuwaFuwa pancakes. They are soufflé Japanese style. They were very good. Not too sweet. Mine came with fruits and whipped cream on the toppings.
My daughter was dying to go there to try new place Fuwa Fuwa. She was so happy with soft cake. 40mins drive from Barrhaven was worth it. Very clean place and friendly staffs.
Stumbled upon Fuwa Fuwa when I went to walk around at St. Laurent Shopping Centre. Even though we were tight on time, I couldn’t resist making a pit stop to enjoy a signature pancake! If you’re a fan of fluffy soufflé pancakes, you’ve got to try it out! They only took 5 minutes to have our order prepared & it tastes just like the one I had in Toronto when they first opened Fuwa Fuwa years ago.
I’ve been going to Fuwa Fuwa pretty often in Toronto so it’s exciting to hear they opened in Ottawa! The texture of Fuwa Fuwa was similar, the cream on top was cold but the pancake was warm and soft. I love tiramisu, it stands out the best as a chocolate and coffee lover! I didn’t like the soda since it’s like sprite with fruits on it but the soufflé pancake made up for it! Next time I’ll get the regular size instead of the snack size!!! The wait time was long but understandable since they need to cook it plus there’s a lot of people ordering since it’s their grand opening. Some people complained about the wait time since it’s either early than they state but you can’t really blame it on them since it’s their opening and their not sure of the time it would take to cook plus unforeseen circumstances.
Just like the name the pancakes were soft and fluffy. Freshly made to order so I was lucky! The staff is really nice and helps you to pick something nice. This drinks here are probably my go-to because it's just $5 and taste good as well. I got the matcha latte this time and I liked it not loved, but my friend got the salted caramel and it was really good. I really like the taste of the pancakes, and it came with some white chocolate and strawberry pieces on the side. You also can see the matcha topped whipped cream. I think it's a little over priced but good experience..
I was really disappointed with their pancakes. In Japanese, fuwa fuwa means soft and puffy. However, the pancakes here were hard and cold. One star was too generous. Minus five would be more appropriated.
The pancakes were soft and fluffy but the toppings did not match what the menu suggested, you mostly get the whipped cream and the pancake. If you pay 18 dollars for a pancake I think there should be more nutella in something named nutella, we didn’t find any. The croffles were good. We did get complimentary drink, the refreshers have bits of fruits in them. The staff was really polite and excellent customer service.
It's ok. The biggest issue right off the bat is the staff are not organized. I'm sure this will get better with time and I will be back and update my review after they have had some time. They have been open just over a week or so. That being said from the time I placed my order, to the time I received it was 23minutes. There was no coordination or planning with peoples orders. 4 staff there, 1 making pancakes, 1 running the cash, 1 helping top pancakes and the last one walking back and forth but not doing much. We ordered the Blueberry Cheese pancakes, the "FuwaFuwa" latte and a mango soda. The Soda was ok, as was the latte. The pancake has lots of potential. The soufflé pancakes themselves were great. I've had them many times in Tokyo and will use what you would find at a place like "Flippers" for comparison. The pancakes themselves were VERY close to the real deal. Not quite there shape and firmness wise, but that takes a lot of practice and I'm sure they will get it. The very weird part is like I mentioned I ordered a Blueberry and Cheese pancakes. In Japan the "cheese" would normally be a sweetened cream cheese. Almost like a crustless cheesecake. At FuwaFuwa though they used a slice of orange cheddar. Not as bad as a Kraft single, but only slightly better than that. Overall it's a cool new option to Ottawa and I'm sure it will get better with time. I would recommend checking them out, but pick simple items on the menu and plan ahead for your order to take a VERY long time to be prepared.
