It was great! The view going down is nice you won’t get motion sickness because it is very short. Good for family and kid friendly. Staff: Amazing we just paid and they let us down easy! Funicular: Short and slow good view modern glass all around you to see! Price: The price was 5 dollars it was reasonably priced.
Dec2024 Taking the short funicular that connects the Upper and Lower levels of the Old Town in Quebec is one of the must experiences when visiting. It gives you an unimpeded view of the Lower section despite the short trip.nnThere is a small gift shop at the upper station connecting to the Dufferin Terrace.
It was confusing to figure that out how to get in in the busy evening. However, to see the building outside, still massive facility with some a historic across it. It linked the Dufferin Terrace and the Petit-Champlain Quarter, which make it walkable and Offers a panoramic view of the St. Lawrence River and Lower Town.
It was our first afternoon in Quebec City. While not planned we ended up walking down the stairs to lower old Quebec. After dinner we preferred not to walk up the many steps and we’re glad to see the funicular was close by. No lines and easy ride with great views of the St. Lawrence River. It was worth not having to climb all the steps and enjoy the view.
For a $5 trip up plus $5 down an elevator with an amazing view, not too bad. I only wish you could go on your own though and they wouldn’t encourage crowding the elevator. Overall pretty nice
