Worst Motel Ever This is the worst motel my family and I have EVER visited. A old man, sitting comfortably in his office, staring at a line of people, who were WAITING 10 minutes for his help. He was unhelpful and when asked a question, “Do you have any pictures of the rooms?”, he then replied with, “No. you can go find another motel for all I care. Goodbye!” Left immediately! He then proceeded to give the rudest stare. Don’t recommend at all.
Avoid if possible. This motel looks great as you drive up, but inside is not so great. The room we were in had squashed mosquitoes all over the walls, dead bugs hanging from the ceilings. Someone had left their dirty underwear behind, a clear sign the rooms are very poorly cleaned between guests. The toilet handle broke off when we flushed, the manager came and fixed it and the next time we flushed it broke again. The restaurant was closed, no explanation…just told us nope, it’s closed. We went closer to Hopewell Rocks and that motel had a lovely dinner menu, food was good, service was friendly. If you have a choice, I would recommend staying there and avoid Fundy Rocks.
The room was very dirty, the walls had a lot of stains, there were a few cobwebs around, I saw a couple insects crawling on the floor, it smelled like mold and so many mosquitoes! The toilet was broken too and seemed to leak on the bathroom floor, overall I just cannot recommend this motel to anyone.Rooms: 1/5
My husband and I had a great stay at the last minute for 4 nights while in town for a wedding. It is a great little spot and so beautiful are the surroundings. Keep in mind you are only going to get what you pay for. It is clean, secure and has the basics. Nothing fancy. Basic motel but the food from the restaurant is fantastic and the staff are amazing. Love Albert County for the super sweet people and they keep us coming back! Thank you Fundy Rocks!!
This was…convenient. The rooms were dirty. Walls covered in dead mosquitoes they are terrible at night around here!. The do it yourself repairs like new caulking was terrible. We’re still laughing about the water heater in the room. Rooms were furnished with patio furniture. The gift shop had adult diapers sold individually.
The front desk called me the day before my family was to leave for a trip to Fundy and stated, “We overbooked and you can no longer stay here.” I was in shock, as I had made these reservations at the beginning off the month. When asked if he could help me find another place to stay or give me recommendations, he stated, “there is nothing I can do for you, it’s as simple as that. You cant stay here.” I have never felt more disrespected by motel/hotel staff as I did on that phone call.
I am so unbelievably disappointed with this Motel. I feel like I was duped because they straight up lied on their listings. We were in room 28 and had NO wifi. We tried explaining the situation twice and they kept saying that it was "weak in some places". No, it wasn't weak, it was straight-up non-existant in or around our room. As in, their network wouldn't pop up in available networks past Room 14 about. That's about half of the rooms. They also advertise that their rooms are soundproof. They aren't. Our room smelled very musty and unfortunately the smell just kept getting worse. We're assuming the smell came from the carpetted floors. I was told by an employee thay Room 28 doesn't get rented very often and that we were the first clients who'd been in there for a while. I also asked why our bathroom floor was so wet. They told me it was caused by condensation which I guess is possible but the floor was soaked for almost our entire stay. During the first night we had NO HOT WATER for at least 2 hours. We could get the temperature to almost lukewarm before the 2 hours but the hot water tank clearly wasn't able to furnish for the amount of people were visiting at the time. The following day we showered in the afternoon, turning the water on to get wet, then turning it off to lather, and turning it back on again to rinse. It's unacceptable. I felt gaslight because we were told to wait in between showers and that it was weird that we run out of hot water but after the maintenance guy left we suddenly had very hot water? I went to the front desk the next day mentioning the hot water issues and asking for a rebate since there was no wifi. The manager wasn't there but the person at the front desk let me write a note for him. A while later he did come to see me about the WiFi and I was hoping for a professional and calm conversation. Although he did remain calm, he was very rude and had trouble looking me in the face. He said that he didn't care what was written on the website and that they couldn't provide me with WiFi and that was that. Then, he had a look at my dog and asked if I declared him at check-in. The motel is pet-friendly and so no, I didn't think that I needed to declare him. He informed me that it would be an extra charge of 20$ a night for the dog. I said: perfect that covers the WiFi issue. He said that no, I'd have to pay for the dog. We asked then about the hot water and he said that it our issues were "very unusual". After asking about how many hot water tanks there were, he said 4. The hotel was full on the first night Friday and clearly 4 isn't sufficient we didn't say this but we were thinking it. He straight-up told us that we could check-out if we were unhappy. I told him that we had no other options which was true. He definitely isn't customer friendly. Having worked in retail for 7 years I am always careful to be a calm, respectful client. I do this because I understand that sometimes things are out of our control but that we truly are trying to make the client happy regardless even if this just means apologising for the inconvenience. He clearly did not care about his lack of customer service. For 155$ a night, I expected at least respect. Instead, I spent 2 nights at easily the WORST motel I've ever been in.
Nice place, very near to Fundy Bay Park and Hopewell Rocks. Rooms could be more cleaner, Staff is very friendly and the price is very affordable, Hotel has zero policy of refund/cancelation even on medical grounds. Parking is not good hotel is allowing parking almost in the children's park on the green grass.Rooms: 4/5
I wish I could give less than 1 star … convenient yes but so disappointed with this place way to expensive for what you get the place is dirty, the shower had hair in it dead bugs everywhere, the staff doesn’t care at all about this place‍… I highly recommend never coming here!Rooms: 1/5
We selected this location because of the cabins, what a great family bonding experience opportunity. Not to be... The cabin key didn't work so I had to hike back to the office for a new one. The door screen was torn and full of needles. The room was filthy, there was mold on the wall, rust in and on the stove and oven, old food ice cream we think in the freezer and smeared on the fridge handle, stains and hair on the bed sheets, stained carpet we think that's where the smell came from. In the Era of Covid-19 we had hoped that hotel owners would have taken the pandemic more seriously to help prevent the spread by properly cleaning the rooms. I wish I could even say that the staff was helpful except anytime we phoned the person answering the phone was unable to help because he was not near the office. I definitely would not recommend staying here. Cheap is cheap, inexpensive is safer than what this place offered.
