Enjoyed our first but not last late lunch here. Service is quick and friendly and the food is all delish. We ordered the bbq duck with rice, bbq pork with rice, and sautéed Chinese greens. Meat came on a generous mound of rice with a slightly sweet sauce. Duck was juicy and tasty as was the pork. Look forward to trying the other items on the menu!
Good Hong Kong style restaurant. You can find a lot of Hong Kong style restaurants in Mississauga and Markham, but it is quite unique in Oakville. It has long servicing hours. The restaurant is new and clean. The food is good quality, good size and price. The speed of serving food can improve a bit. BBQ pork and duck is a bit dry and light taste, but it is still ok. Visited again, and Cantonese BBQ is improved because it has some BBQ soy sauce now. Tried Beef fried rice noodles. The beef has soda powder taste.
A new HongKong Style restaurant in the area. Its menu is more than those usual bakery style HongKong style restaurants. The menu covers from BBQ, fried or soup noodle and rice, as well as other traditional items such as HK style milk tea, French toast, and many more. The milk tea is pretty good, too. We were here for lunch and ordered stir-fry rice noodles with beef, bbq pork with rice, and a bbq duck with noodles in soup. The stir-fry rice noodle with beef is the best I could find in the area as it tasted with a real wok fried. The only comment I have was about the beef that is a bit of dry and over cooked. The BBQ pork rice has a decent portion but would even be better if it comes with a bit more bbq sauce. The bbq duck with noodles in soup is good too, but it would be perfect if the duck is separated on a small plate with some bbq sauce.
Craving for HK style cuisine and found a gem in Oakville! The store is not too spacious however the turnaround dining time is quick. They serve bbq pork, roasted chicken, duck and pork daily, this should guarantee the freshness of their servings. Anyway, I found their bbq pork was slightly less flavourful compared to other restaurants. But the portions were generous and servers were helpful and friendly! Probably will come back again to try other dishes.
Finally found a good Hong Kong restaurant in Oakville. Don't have to go far to Mississauga. Small restaurant and very busy. The food is very tasty. Ordered the 2 meat combo Bbq pork and roast duck. Good amount of meat and well seasoned. The pork has no smell which sometimes I found in Canada some pork has acquired smell. Also ordered the fried rice with chicken and salty fish. Very tasty. Too bad they don't have bottle water so we had Hong Kong tea which is very good too. The lady who served us was very pleasant but the other young server who helped us also before forgot our order. Good thing this busy lady who greet everyone and mostly do everything herself comes to the rescue. The rest of the staff were friendly and helpful. Will definitely come back again.
First time ordering take out from this place today. A short wait for the food, but I feel the restaurant is still getting into their rhythm, so please go in with patience and an open mind. Good service despite their busyness. Food was good for what they offer. I ordered rice noodles and I’m not disappointed with it. They have a few lunch specials which I’ll look forward to trying at another time. I’m giving it 5-stars for it satisfying my craving for Cantonese food in Oakville! Thank you for opening this type of restaurant here!
Ordered takeout salted fish and chicken fried rice, and half a roast duck. The rice dish was a good size portion. Flavour was very good - they didn’t skimp on the salted fish! The duck was also very flavourful. Highly recommended! The rice dish came with a hot milk tea. They make this really well too - full flavoured, caramel-y and creamy. A pleasant surprise!
Food was satisfying, the epitome of comfort HK food. Highlight was the duck which was super juicy!! Noodles were okay, but would still would order again. Overall very friendly service as well, can speak English, Mandarin, and Cantonese.
I am giving this new restaurant a perfect score of 5 because of it's good food and great service. I ordered beef brisket noodle soup and salted pork chop with fried rice. Broth is tasty and meats are tender. Salted pork chop was freshly made coz it's not dry. Place is small but clean and organize. Affordable price. I have no regret on trying on this new place.
Love to see this kind of restaurant at Oakville. The HK style food is good. Be expected to wait for your table. Price is reasonable.
