Good place to get frozen dimsum. They take cash and debit only. Has good selections of things you'll find at a dim sum selection and its rumored that some restaurants buy their supply from them as well. Fair prices for the good quality of food. Definitely give them a try
I like this branch as its convenient located and there is no line up to go inside the store. It carries the same items as the Miliken branch and I believe the price is the same. Their frozen dim sum are very tasty and of good value!!
The dim sums are reasonably price, portioned, and tastes like the restaurants. There are a lot of vegetarian, pescatarian, signature, and truffle items. Even Chinese soup, various buns, and Wonton toppings + noodles selections. I think the downfall is limited parking spots during peak hours; however, I go between 9 - 11 am and never have a problem. In addition, there is ample parking across of 1st Markham, which is a short walking distance. Tip #1: They only take cash or debit. Tip #2: Go earlier in the day as they run out of certain dim sum dishes.
Visited the store after they move from the First Markham place area, now it's pretty much in the plaza across from Markville shopping mall facing Highway 7. There's a lot more parking space through the plaza can get busy. Anything was better than the old first Markham Place store where they had two spots and then they blocked those off. So the new place is wider inside and they sell a bit more food but those food items seems to be stuff that was previously bulk package and they just stuck their own tag on it after taking it out of the bulk package and repackaging it. The stuff that they do make which is most of the steam dim sum, remains good and fair valued. Dim sum remains a lot of work so it is not a cheap meal anymore that's for sure but it's still fair value compared to a restaurant. More importantly, it still tastes good, I would say like a medium tiered restaurant. The place is still cash for a debit card only. I put in some more new photos but I wish they had opened the store at Bayview a Major McKenzie like they said they would because this is a bit of a drive for anybody who is in Richmond Hill , Thornhill area. - Old review below First time visit due to various web hype. The taste was authentic and true to the regular restaurant stuff. The cost is a little bit less then a restaurant but you may get more pieces then a restaurant. For all the stuff I got in these photos was about 50 bucks. You basically have to learn to group steam them so that they all finish around the same time. The only other thing is that they have only one type of the rice noodles chung fun, BBQ pork and it's not good value at 3 noodles for $ 6.00. There is no parking at front of the stores because everybody has a reserved spot for the other stores. Basically you have to park there , going in quick, grab your stuff so you don't get towed or tagged. Edit: I've come back about 8 times since. Everything remains the same and don't expect to get parking.
Some items are out of stock. Overall it’s very organized and clean. Staff is nice and attentive. No tax. Difficult to find parking spot. Be prepared to park ratter far and walk.
We are frequent buyers at this store, however we are not sure if we would again. Today when we ate their , we ate a stone inside and the size is not small either. Glad that the teeth is not chipped or it wasn't eaten by a kid or elderly. This will be filed to Ministry of Consumer Services.
This is a kind of hidden gem in Markham area if you like Chinese food Dimsum! We were overwhelmed when we entered this clean and organized place and saw too many varieties! Everything is reasonably priced and the quality is superb! Their staff is very friendly too. Plenty of parking lots in front of the store. Easy access! We will definitely keep going. Highly recommended!
The frozen dim sum here is much better than those in restaurants. Amazing
Great selection of frozen dim sum. It was pretty busy, but the line moved quickly. The only issue I had was getting parking. It's very busy, and some spots are reserved for other businesses. But this is better than their last location.
Good selection and quality of different types of frozen dim sum
