The Fruit of the Spirit Cannery & Bakery, LLC is the result of a life long dream I have shared with my Mom and 103 year old Grandma. We have been baking and canning for years now as a way to sustain our lifestyle and support our family. In 1999, I chose to attend Michigan State University's "Better Process Control School" so that our family would be able to safely sell our products to our community. We were successful in our endeavor. After a family illness redirected us, I decided to pursue my nursing career instead. I also realized that my education, training, and experience as a nurse makes me an even better baker and canner. I understand the microbiology, the importance of aseptic technique, sterilization, and proper processes. I follow the rules and hope to set the example for the small business in baking and canning, while continuing to produce the foods that your Grandma made.
