No parking which is very a problem, there are signs that say don’t park here in winter time. Had to just come very early just to not get caught illegally parking. The lights are very beautiful, but it’s very slippery in winter time, I was not expecting to freeze yet but I did eventually had to go to the middle area for heat. I didn’t realize that area with the light has heat. Maybe it’s just light but make sure you don’t fall because I feel two times.
Only one thing is missing in this area -MUSIC! Guys , add some good tones and songs , especially when it’s a festive Christmas season. on the streets and of would Be more fun for Tourists that coming to Visit your town from so far .
Great place to be when the holiday decorations are up. You can bring your own sled or buy one from the stores. There are lots of wine tasting or tap rooms for beer and cider, so make sure you reserve some time for those. The sidewalks can get pretty slippery, so be careful. I deducted 1 star because it is almost impossible to find a parking place without having to circle the block multiple times. We ended up parking a few blocks away and had to walk on the icy roads to get here.
Such a fun place to walk around. In the winter you get all of the Christmas lights and in the summer you get vendors out there selling stuff. Lots to look at. Love it here.
At first I pressed one star, but when this box popped up asking me to tell you why I hated this place, I knew I didn’t hate the place. Why I am rating it so low? Alright, alright. Well, the park is an average park unless there’s a polka band playing. Then it’s fun. For 20-30 minutes—unless polka’s your thing. Do you like Bavarian buildings? Well, this place gives the appearance you might expect, but it’s more more like false fronts, paint, and lights. Probably perfect for what I went for: to shoot two quick shots for a movie to pretend the main character was in a Bavarian village. But then, I had to be careful where I looked for all the signs of it NOT being a foreign village. So, you might be saying, “Well, no wonder you’re down on the place, but I’m no filmmaker. I just want to have a good time.” Well, if your idea of a good time is paying $200-$300 for the same hotel room I can get elsewhere for the same price, then go for it! Did they have beer? Chocolate? Wine and Brats? Yes! And if you want to pay those tourist trap prices, then definitely go!
Wonderful town center! We watched children sled down the hill on snow sleds, a proposal under the gazebo, and musical performances while waiting for our dinner reservation all in one day.
A charming town in Leavenworth, Bavarian town is famous for its traditions. It has a great stretch of pubs, cute shops for gifts. The pubs are stretched all along with a choice of random sitting area outside / eating area while you mingle with people. Enjoyed my evening and early morning.. Plenty of options for wine and beer variety. Beer and wine lovers are definitely spoiled for choices on the beverages. Very quiet town, good for evening strolls with amazing views of the mountains surrounding it and river flowing on one side. Awesome
This quaint, charming Bavarian town is amazing any time of the year!! Almost every picture you take will look like a postcard, this park is no exception. The park overlooks cute shops and restaurants, It’s a nice park to relax and enjoy your surroundings. .
You absolutely must go here during the holidays if you live anywhere in the pacific northwest. Had a lot of fun and would definitely go back next holiday season.
