Friendly Thai is one of the few good local restaurants in Gibsons. You can rarely find good restaurants in a small town like Gibsons & this is one of them if you are a fan of Thai food. Upon entering, you will notice the local atmosphere and you will definitely have authentic food there. The staff is warm & friendly & take care of your order carefully. Suggestions: * Yellow Curry * Friendly Thai fried rice * Pad Thai Enjoy!
This was my first ever Thai experience and it was delicious! I had the Pad Thai with prawns and got it mild just in case the heat was too much for me but I should have went medium! It was perfection. Tapioca pudding for dessert was a cherry on top with this amazing place. Staff were excellent with service as well! Will be back if I’m ever over here again
Stopped by for lunch on my way to Sechelt from the ferry. Their lunch special is a really great deal - comes with a little soup, spring roll, salad, and your choice of entree. I got the pad thai and requested it to be spicy. It definitely had a nice burn to it and was all in all quite tasty. The only thing I’d change is maybe have a little more protein in the pad thai - either chicken or tofu, I’d be happy to pay even a bit more for that. The food came out very quickly and the service is very friendly and attentive. I’d love to come back with friends and try some other dishes!!
Excellent authentic Thai cuisine. The meal came quickly. Singha was nice and cold. Friendly owners and staff. A must if you're nearby.
Used to love this place over the pandemic period, my always go to. I got a lunch special of L11 today, they raised the price to 14 dollars from 12.50 which is understandable due to inflation. But the order that i got pad ped chicken had hardly any chicken. Maybe 4 pieces of small shredded chicken breast. It is really disappointing to see their quality is going down. I would give another try later on maybe..
Good food. Fast, friendly service. Only issue is extra chilies are $5 which would never happen in Thailand. Like charging for tap water at a restaurant in Canada. I would go back as the food was decent. Almost as good as All Thaied Up in Sechelt and better than the old Absolutely Thai.
I have been here quite a few times to have the lunch special. Year after year it continues to be great value, and the food is always really good. The staff are always very friendly living up to the name! and you never have to wait long for food.
One of the best Thai restaurants I have ever eaten at. Their green curry dishes are wonderful and remind me of the best meals eaten in Thailand. The lunch menu is very reasonable and varied.
Ordered from this place off Uber eats and wasn’t aware they have their own delivery persons to do that and not someone from Uber. So we couldn’t track on the app…. Called the restaurant 3x for an update as it was literally 2 hours past the delivery time. No update. They said yeah we’ll get our driver to update you. Never did. Had to jump through hoops to get a refund. Don’t get Uber take out from here. That’s all!
best pad see ew i’ve ever had and i’ve had pretty good thai food in vancouver, metro vancouver, and washington state. tom kha was also pretty good. wouldn’t do the curry again though. rice is kinda expensive a bowl starts at $4… and not included with the curry. great service, would come back!
