Make sure you ask for a fork and knife lol. My partner and I decided to give this place a try after having breakfast in Campbell river. I ordered the Lemon curd croissant while my partner ordered the almond croissant. Warning these are delicious but will make a mess if your not careful, I found that out the hardware, definitely ask for a fork and knife as the filling definitely can find its way into your lap. Great Croissant definitely recommend a stop here
A beautiful cafe for croissants and coffee! Our friends from Paris say it's one of the best croissants they have had on the island. Definitely very flaky and buttery. The price is a bit steep but it was worth it to try some unique flavours
Right off the bat, the place is simple and cozy, with a good amount of seating. There is even a section in the back with toys for kids. The pastries were buttery, flaky, crispy, and well balanced. They're neither too sweet nor too salty, and even though my hands smell like butter after, they're rich but not greasy. The staff were also very friendly, keen to explain what each flavours of the croissants were. I really can't recommend it enough.

Super cozy and cute place to stop by for a treat! The croissants are one of a kind and never disappoint with the taste. I’d definitely recommend trying a few different flavours, the raspberry is hands down my favourite but the cream cheese and spinach is a close second. They’re not cheap but well worth the price considering how filling and delicious they are! The coffee is a cherry on top, so smooth and pairs well with the croissants.
Awesomeness in motion at a very high price point. I will probably not go back until the next big business deal or real estate sale goes through. : I would, however, recommend everyone miss lunch or dinner and go there just to taste a couple of the croissants. I skipped one star for the price; inflation as high as it is.
Freyja is a terrific place for fresh, house-made croissants, and high-quality lattes. Their croissants are some of the best I've tried. It's located adjacent to Spirit Square, right downtown and feels more like somewhere you'd find in Vancouver or San Francisco rather than Campbell River! Just opening in July 2022, Freja, in my opinion, is an excellent addition to Campbell River.
I had heard my coworkers rave about Freyja's, it was not disappointing. They have a little kids corner in the back area and a beautiful plant wall. The croissants were AMAZING! Definitely a treat to share so you can try more than one.Food: 5/5
Having watched the owners go from concept to a fully operational shop, it was a true delight to stop by and enjoy an outstanding croissant and latte. The staff were all super polite and professional. In particular, the latte rivaled any I've had elsewhere with a smooth texture combined with high quality coffee. The decor is bright, welcoming, and shows the owner's passion for the business. Comparisons to <gag> Costco are silly as these croissants are clearly above the rest and, for sure, are not 6 for a dollar, grocery store stuff. The total experience is delightful and inviting and is a welcome addition to Campbell River's downtown core.
Literally the best croissants I’ve ever had - not even exaggerating and I eat a lot of croissants! They are so worth it and I feel blessed to have such a gem in our city!
