I genuinely need to say something about the current security staff because it has made shopping here extremely uncomfortable lately.nnI completely understand that security is there to prevent theft and do their job, but constantly following customers around the store creates a very unpleasant environment. It feels invasive and honestly makes people feel targeted while simply trying to shop normally.nnBeyond that, professionalism has become a serious concern. Basic hygiene and presentation should absolutely be expected from security staff representing the store. There have been multiple occasions where the guards had a very strong unpleasant odor, and one time a security guard was even wearing flip flops while on shift. That is completely unprofessional and reflects poorly on the store overall.nnAt this point, I really think the current security team needs to be reconsidered or properly addressed. Customers should feel comfortable shopping in the store, not watched, uncomfortable, and wanting to leave as quickly as possible.
Glad to see since Paul left their employees are treated better. My son worked their while goin to university. Every year mr Kessel would tell my son to go out and stop people parking on at the property on november 11. It upset my so much he came home literally crying. So the next year he was working and I came down as there's a festival for all the vets that's fought for our freedom. His granfathers included. Sure enough Paul tells my son get out their abd them don't park here or you'll be towed. My so refused and got reamed out. People could hear Paul. I was cashing out and heard some of it. I definitely did not want my kid working for someone that spoke so belittling so I said tell your customers why your yelling at him. No ok I will and said exactly what he was doing turning away seniors that's could barely walk with their families being celebrated for their bravery to have that parking lot. Needless to say mr.kessel tried to save face saying thing like oh no we do tjis everyday to make sure people aren't using their lot instead of paying. No one was buying it. Glad to hear management has changed for the better as mr Kessel had the reputation of belittling employees.nI was in for a big Xmas party shopping spree Las weds. The employees were helpful and polite. The store was organized. Tge only thing I did not like was the security, not so much for me but other customers. It was very strange, there was this sense that customers were feeling uncomfortable. And I'm not trying to be rude but the hygiene of the security and their appearance was let's say unkempt. And an odor of BO while shopping produce especially was not pleasant
I had a very unpleasant experience at this food store. The security guards treat customers like thieves, constantly following and watching people, which makes it very uncomfortable to shop. On top of that, they do not seem to maintain good hygiene — there’s a strong, unpleasant odor that makes it hard to stand near them. Management should seriously look into improving staff behaviour and hygiene standards for a better customer experience.
Disorganized managers, staff not empowered to handle common issues, zero sense of urgency in any of the staff. I've left over $100 worth of groceries on the belt 3 times now due to my cashier deciding mid transaction that someone at another till was more important than me. Even though I'm your neighbor and walk over, I will be driving somewhere else now for basic service minimums from now on
I actually found everything I needed on sale! The parking was easy and plentiful and the store nice and clean. I even showed the checkout lady a trick folding re-useable bags.
