Time-proofed supermarket with good prices and beautiful stuff. Especially appreciate the European food shelf, where I can see not only food from old continent but also people from there. Products are fair quality
Tonight, I went shopping at FreshCo. While I was in the store, I suddenly felt unwell because my blood pressure dropped. I opened a $2 pastry and ate a few bites to stabilize myself, then placed it with the rest of my groceries to pay for it at checkout.nnWhen I got to the cashier, the person at the till was the store’s “store manager,” a woman with short salt-and-pepper hair. In front of other customers, she spoke to me very rudely and said, “You weren’t allowed to open this.” I was shocked and didn’t know how to respond, especially at my age, being treated this way so disrespectfully in public. I just looked at her and left quietly.nnAfter I walked away, I noticed that she was telling the story to the other customers who had been behind me in line, and they were laughing at me. I can only say that I am very sorry for this kind of impolite and childish behavior. I truly hope she will not repeat such rude treatment toward other customers.nnI actually like FreshCo very much, but unfortunately, this is not the first time I have experienced unkind behavior from this same woman. That is why I decided to share my experience.nnNow that I’m reading other reviews, I see that the FreshCo manager — the older woman with short salt-and-pepper hair — has not only treated me rudely but has behaved the same way with others as well. I honestly don’t understand why she is still working there! As long as she remains, I will no longer shop at that store, and I’m writing this so others can see it too. I felt so upset tonight that my husband had to calm me down.
I shop here regularly and more than any other grocery store. They have nearly everything I use and are always decently priced, helpful and friendly. Their ethnic offering is noteworthy too, good on them for knowing their market.nnBut here's the extra mile. I dropped a $100 bill while pulling my wallet out of my pants pocket. It was just before 6pm and very busy there. I got home and noticed it missing. On what I thought was a likely longshot, I called the store. Cathy answered and told me that actually one of the other employees, Haley found the misplaced bill and turned it in. I have to commend both their integrity and professionalism. I'm still shocked that I was able to get it back and truly think that's pretty amazing, especially in this day and age. Haley deserves recognition for doing the right thing and being an amazing person. Kathy also deserves thanks for facilitating all of this. Great job guys and you'll see me a lot more going forward.
fresco Has Made A Wholesale Club Shopper of me. I had been a loyal costumer of freshco , doing my weekly grocery shop ever Sunday as well as picking up odds and ends during the week.nToday , Saturday November 8th and 4:30 ish I parked in thier lot and spent no more than 7 minutes walking to pick up an order at Kiki Gardens to find a parking ticket for $86.50 on my windshied from dimond parking services. OF COURSE NO ONE IN freshco COULD OR WOULD DO ANYTHING.........OH WELL .....MY MONEY IS BETTER SPENT WITH LOBLAW .
Beware the ridiculous parking lot gestapo patrolling for what is a mediocre store. A $86 fine that escalates to $125 after 10 hours. Is your strategy to substitute lost sales revenue with these fines? Shouted at my wife, reducing her to tears and carrying on even after she produced slips proving that she'd shopped there just minutes before. This is Vernon, not Vancouver and you will lose shoppers to the competition very fast. Us and many friends won't be back.
