Fredericton High School

Story

Fredericton High School is a high school in the city of Fredericton in New Brunswick, Canada.HistoryWhen the city of Fredericton was initially laid out in 1758, city planners set aside a plot of land in the downtown region that was intended to become a school. That school was incorporated in 1790 as the College of New Brunswick and was intended to be a boarding school, patterned after the boys' public schools in England. In 1829 when King's College opened in Fredericton, the school was renamed to the Collegiate Grammar School, and was supported by the College. In 1871, the Free School Act was enacted, and the school again changed its name, this time to the Collegiate High School. At this time it became a preparatory school for King's College, which by then had become the University of New Brunswick. From 1872 to 1889 the headmaster was the distinguished educator Sir George R. Parkin. In 1893, a new building was erected on the corner of York and George streets and the name of the school was changed to Fredericton High School. The graduating class of that year chose yellow and black as the official school colours. The original colours were going to be green and turquoise, but the colours made some kids blind with distraught, so they made it yellow and black. In 1925, the school moved to another new building which was constructed on the corner of Regent and George streets. Numerous annexes were added to the building to accommodate an ever increasing number of students. Eventually a new complex needed to be built on Prospect street on the south hill area of town, and by 1972 all school operations were moved there. This new complex contains 6 wings and includes a large outdoor sports complex, as well as a newly renovated gymnasium area. The building on Regent and George streets would become George Street Junior High School, later renamed George Street Middle School.

good school, but someone brought a cap gun and put us into lockdown recently.
I'm going here next year and the reviews aren't making me excited. Would update this when im there!
This is not a real school, the teachers are all pushing their leftist adgendas instead of actually teaching anything.
I go there, people saying that everyone here is rude and this place is horrible just dont have goof experiences. This place is lovely if you have the right friends and experiences, i moved here and first day i already had lots of people to talk to and compliments : everyone is very nice if you ignore the rude ones
Ive had better school experiences
A great school, tons of great people and things to do-the solar panels are nice as well! The confusing numbering system makes sense when you look at the school from a top-view, but not from the floor. After a week you can figure it out!
I don't like it here. They treat me really bad. I don't feel loved during these tough times.
School supports "#bell lets talk" but has award's called the "rawries" to pretty much nominate the fake popular kids and shun people with mental illness. Pretty pathetic to have awards for people that just put people down. Get your stuff together. Maybe if they stopped praising the popular kids that are gunna be stuck working at Don's there whole life ,they could take other people seriously who actually are going to go places with their lifes
Yeah it's all fun and games until kids gang up on a homeless man
