Excellent clinic with fantastic staff. It's such a huge help to a shift worker like my self. These types of after hour facilities are so great for the working class in general. Also the staff was very helpful and kind. I also saw a staff member give a jacket to a homeless individual on a cold and rainy night while there once. Our communities benefit from public health services like this.
You call and do all the promps correctly. Get connected with the after hour pay system. Good thing we in Canada and get free health care. Our health care system is a mess. And we will never do anything about it other than pay more for less service.
I have recommended to management to tell receptionists to state their name at beginning of call. This is just professionalism. This has not been done. The staff are frequently abrupt and quick to get you off phone. A lot of times they don't answer and tell you its because of a "meeting". You can call hours on end without an answer. I have even seen staff look at their own phones while at the reception desk. They have their usual negative signs that greet you at the reception desk. Like "if you are late you will be asked to come at another time". My question is does this work both ways. Please do better. P.S. nurse practitioner Sarah Joy has been a pleasure to deal with. .
I've been in several times for routine STI testing. The booking process has always been simple and an appointment available within 1-2 days. The nurses have always been very friendly.
I was referred to community health on King St by 811 for a knee injury. I was called by community health and got a appt the next day. I cannot say enough good things about the experience. It was easy and super fast. I was met by friendly staff, and nurse Tracy and NP Lindsay were A+. I received the referral I needed for x-ray and Ortho follow up. Thank you!
Reception staff is not only rude, but completely incompetent. They lie regularly, don’t follow up with bookings and genuinely seem irritated that they have to do their jobs. Have had to rebook appointments more often than not because they either forgot or were just too lazy to actually input the information. This place once was great to go to for people who didn’t have a family doctor but is quickly going down hill. But hey just like the rest of the health care branches in New Brunswick, at least they can speak two languages...
Went there for the first time last week. Was really nervous. Everyone there was really friendly and helped put me at ease.
They have been having a problem with their phone service. You call and get the after hours number in the middle of the day or something goes wrong and it has happened a few times. Took me 3 days to get through a few weeks ago. Some of the staff at the front that greet you can be a little less than welcoming - but everyone I have seen for medical is Amazing! I see Nurse Practitioner Rachel Gallagher and she is wonderful. My husband and I really think highly of her! You can get your blood taken here and breathing testing to name just a bit. A very clean and professional clinic.
I cannot get over how poorly the receptionists treat their patients here. I understand that these are very tough times and that working for health services in NB was a challenge without a pandemic, but I have been lied to, hung-up on mid-sentence and spoken to like TRASH here. I am generally a quiet, soft-spoken person in public and I try to be as polite as possible in person and over the phone, yet I'm met with curt responses and a complete lack of awareness / ignorance of the patient's circumstances, be it they are dealing with mental illness, medication difficulties, a terminal illness, or difficulties being seen by a doctor when in desperate need of attention. Speaking of this, my doctor has been AWOL for over a year without an explanation. I would not be surprised to find she left due to the toxic environment of this place. Please, for the sake of our community, DO BETTER.
I have received excellent care here. The staff and my NP are caring and professional.
