Worth the long drive to get here. The finest collection of Remington sculpture in the world along with a significant holding of his paintings mixed in with paintings by other artists donated by the widow's estate. Museum employees were friendly and helpful, which makes tired travelers feel right at home.
Beautiful art, enjoyed looking at the wonderful pieces of work that he created. He led an interesting life. Nice that he had local roots from the area. The mansion for the museum was itself Beautiful. Good experience.
World class museum with paintings and sculptures by America's greatest artist of the old west. Also shows his life, his Adirondack and St. Lawrence River works. Don't miss the new Sally Farnham exhibit.

Really interesting look at Remington's life, influences, and art. The architecture of the home that houses the collection is lovely, too.

Such history is displayed and a beautiful art exhibit for all to enjoy. I'm from CO, and Remington is well known for his bronze statues. The museum itself is a treasure, I love the old home & it's history. If in Ogdensburg you must visit if you love art and a history of the wild west.
What a gem. Rooms upon rooms of art that you don’t feel rushed through while stopping to look at every piece. Great store, too. I bought a painting while I was there that I look at every day.
