I absolutely love their burgers and ice cream ! Plus the thinly sliced shoe string fries with cheese ! The customer service was great and the location was very very clean. It was nicely decorated with info about Freddy. Their burgers were thinly sliced with the outer slightly crunch which was different from your regular burger but sooooo GOOD! The place offers drive through and outdoor dining as well. Absolutely recommended !
I recently heard about this spot and had to try it out seeing it was nearby. I've heard a lot about this crispy edged patty and love a good matchstick french fry. Very reminiscent of Steak 'n Shake. I ordered a Freddy's original double combo with a strawberry and banana shake. The other person ordered similar, but with cheese fries. The cheesy fries were a slam dunk. Not too salty and the cheese melted nicely and was not hardened like some other 'unmamed' franchises. I absolutely loved my strawberry banana shake with real fruit. Caution to the wise, don't get a large shake..lol It was just a lot of calories, so a small will suffice. At least for me next time. My only minus was that the burger was a tad on the salty side. Lay off the salt on the burgers and this would have been a 5/5 food experience. This was a nice and conveniently located spot, staff was nice and the bathroom was clean! I know, that makes a difference too. Thumbs up! And sorry the photos are blurry, I was in such a hurry to take a bite.
This is my favorite burger place. Seriously. I prefer it over any pub/sit down restaurant burger. I used to go to the one in Orlando, FL. When I found out they built one 10 minutes from my house in Linden. I was over the moon. The quality of the ingredients are unmatched. The flavor combos that are offered are so delicious. I couldn’t say enough good things about this place. Even the staff is incredibly helpful and friendly. Which makes the experience that much more pleasant. My Dad, Mom and I go once a week and are always shocked by the lack of customers. I feel as though the building should be packed due to how amazing this restaurant is… Not to mention it’s just about the only fast food chain that has DIET DR. PEPPER!
Got a free mini concrete for my birthday from the app! We started going to Freddy’s this summer, the location in Virginia. And it was a surprise when we drove by this one in Linden NJ. Finally we tried them today. The restaurant is much much more clean and organized and faster than the Virginia location. The custard ice cream here is much more creamier. Besides the concrete, we also tried the hot dog and the patty melt. Really really good. Nothing was overly salty at all. Food was hot and fresh. We used the points from the app for the hot dog. Strongly recommend you to download their app before going. You get rewards so fast!
Checked this place out tonight and it was really good. All the food was fresh and made to order. I recommend the Patty Melt. Carl was super nice and very helpful answering any questions I had as it was my first time. I will be returning, thanks to Carl and the Linden NJ team. PRO TIP: Sign up for their app a day or two before going as you will be sent a digital coupon for either a free burger Original Double or shake Regular Size Concrete.
Worst place to get burgers!! We were excited to try this place out, we ordered a kids meal, a regular cheese burger, a chili cheese dog, the red and blue burger with sides, chili cheese fries, and cheese curds. Burgers were super dry, nothing special about mine or the kids meal, but the $10 red and blue burger was a joke!! Definitely not worth it!! The cheese curds were fantastic but that does not justify $50 worth of food that we spent there. There are way better places where I can get better food for that price! Super disappointed!!
Went through drive thru. Burgers cooked on order. Staff was friendly. Prices a bit high as we ordered combo number 2 and paid just over $12 per order. Burger was very salty. Shoestring fries not impressive. Not sure why Freddy’s has a strong following after eating this food. Five Guys have way better burgers. I would rank smashburger in Menlo Park mall better as well.
I have been wanting to go to this place since they opened up and I regret not coming since they opened up because the food here is amazing and the setting of this place is so well thought. The burgers are amazing and dude the fries are so good - if you are a fan of thin fries this is the one. One thing I was confused by but its my fault is I thought they sold milk shakes but its shakes so basically its ice cream in a cup :' but overall definitely coming back !!
Spur of the moment we stopped at Freedy's Frozen Custard and Burgers. The location makes it easy to access it from Rt.1&9 south. It is within the super Walmart complex in Linden. The facility is very clean and friendly. Menu is clearly displayed. Ample sele5of burgers, chicken, hot dogs and patty melt with fries, fries w/cheese, onion rings, etc. You even get a selection of cold ice cream and custards. Prices are similar to other fast food establishments. They do offer a loyalty program. This location does offer outdoor seating if you like that option.
First time trying their food , food was okay . Shakes were meh . Have had better but wasn’t bad at all . Very expensive ! The hot dog was sloppy all my chili wasn’t even on the hotdog it was in the box instead of being on top of the hotdog . Then the person taken order sounded miserable , told them it was my first time their and they didn’t even say welcome
