It's my closest No Frills. The prices are better than Loblaws as most No Frills would be. However there always seems to be a shortage of cashiers and management doesn't seem to be on the floor during busier times. I went at around 745pm on a weeknight and self checkout was already closed. 2 cashes open, no manager in sight and our poor cashier had to call 3 times to override a sale item. I think this is more about organization of staff, the stock people and cashiers are all very nice, helpful and hard working.
Better then some other No frills around me. Produce is always being stocked and available for the most part The line ups can be long at times. Some of the cashiers are not the friendliest, some are very nice. Buggy’s sometimes are not available near the door so I tend to grab one in the parking lot. Parking can be annoying at times of the day due to the condo being built. Overall good but could use improvement in certain areas.
A lovely, clean place. Other grocery stores are closer to where I live but I still travel to this one because it’s such a great place to shop. Produce lasts a long time and the stuff I like is still affordable. I’m able to get 3 large bags of groceries for $60 here including stuff meat, cheese, fruit, freezer goods, etc that drives up the bill at other stores. Thank you!
I avoid this store studiously. Parking and access is a nightmare, especially with a new condo going in as you approach the store, which is off a lane, off a busy St Clair W. Then the store isn't particularly clean. The produce may be reasonably priced, however it's always sub-par. When I looked for fresh squash, half of it was bruised, badly scarred, split open, oozing liquid: disgusting! People here are pushy and impolite. Stock is very limited and the selection is quite poor. This is why I haven't visited in many years. Not sure why I went this time, but was in the neighbourhood, so I thought I'd give it a chance. While the produce clerk was a doll, that was the only good point in my extremely brief visit. Won't return in future unless I'm desperate.
I LOVE this No Frills! It’s small, but it delivers great produce, great customer service, and some wonderfully unexpected products for weirdos like me. I’m sure that they are trying to adapt to the changing neighbourhood, and I appreciate that!
All staff are always helpful & courteous. Staff go the extra mile to re-stock products quickly. Greatly improved atmosphere since changed ownership! Also, much cleaner and organized generally with more products.
Its ok for a few food items that aren't as expensive as other supermarkets. For example on frescho a 24 pack of coca cola is 12.99 and on Nofrills is 11.99. But many other items are more expensive. I don't like the fact that there's some men outside of the entrance claiming to be taxi drivers their car isn't even part of any taxi company and they kinda harass people to go with them. I felt very unsafe both times I went there and will not be returning alone. They only accept cash and if you say you have none they tell you not even ask to go inside nofrills and get cash back from your card. I hope nofrills does something about this and prevents more people from feeling uncomfortable when going grocery shopping there. It's not something anyone wants to deal with after a long day.
No Tills. They closed self checkout. Had to wait in a long line at 11am on a weekday. Surly cashier. Small, crowded store where staff block aisles while restocking. Meh, I'll go to an out of the way FreshCo.
Apparently carts are a frill. How is this store still open? It's so incredibly bad in every single way.
Quintessential neighborhood grocery store. It ain't Loblaws, nothing showy or fancy but the price is right for savings on grocery. Just keep your expectations low... It is afterall no frills!
