Great for the pub experience on wing night, food is actually a great comparitive value considering other local restaurants. When it's hot out it's busier, and food service is slower than you would hope for but the overall quality and service compensates. It's a pub, not Michelin starred, keep that in mind and it will be a great experience.
Food is okay, standard pub fare. Service, when I went, was very friendly and attentive, I loved the servers and bartender. I've been staying at a hotel nearby and this place is the only place to eat without going for a drive to downtown or something. Online it says they're open until midnight, however TWICE in the last week I went in only to be told that the kitchen was closed- once at 9pm and tonight at 8pm. The first time I was told "our kitchen guy called in sick," but I was given the manager's number and the manager promptly told me that this was unusual and not a regular occurrence. I let it go, fine, things happen. But tonight when I went in, I was told "everything's closed, we weren't busy so we closed everything an hour ago." How fantastic to work in a place that just closes whenever you want it to. However, as a customer, especially one staying at the edge of town with no other options for food, not so great. Thumbs down.
As a long time patron, its a great place to meet old friends and get a chuckle with your beer. Great wings Wed and Fri nights at 5 Be there early if you want a seat. A lot of good times to be had around the pool table, always new rules for rookies....lol
Good wings and drinks I would give more stars but they closed two hours before their posted time and when we asked the bartender about it he got very confrontational. Update: Service has improved a lot and the operating hours are much better.
Old Campbell river pub, clean fresh good food. nice quite place to go in the day time for lunch and beer. Open at 11am. Service its usually good and they have big TV and pool table. Owner of known to be a little blunt but he is really a nice guy when you get to know him.
Great sea food,. Been here about five or six times over the last year or so. NEVER a bad meal, or service. The Halibut is first rate for a casual pub.
Draft beer was nice and cold. Stir fry I had was very flavourful. Not much to look at décor wise, an older pub. But has view over the hwy to the ocean. Covered outside patio. Through the week it's popular with the grey hair crowd. 1 pool tables, old small tv, 1 50 inch LCD, saw a projection screen so don't know about that
Great little pub by the water, food is good, and the beer is cold! Staff is friendly and service is good! Many things to try... my favourite is the Zoo Sticks with a very close second their Nachos!!
Says it’s open til 1am on Fridays and Saturdays but the waitress waived us off from the locked door at 10:30pm on a Friday. Stayed at the best western just to have a minute walk there for a safe walk home. Lame!!!!
