Good pizza & great service. They got us seated quickly about 6pm - so super early for Sorrento & during a rainstorm without an issue. We were able to sit and eat after a long day on a boat, something we really needed. The drinks were also really good! I enjoyed the three flavor pizza too & it was super fun - but the pizza was not as good as the other pizzas our group ordered which were fantastic.
This is probably the best pizza you can buy in Sorrento. The dough is delicious and the ingredients are prepared to cook properly with the pizza. The service is polite and prompt. The price is very reasonable. The only reason I have given 4 stars rather than 5 is that the venue is a bit of a challenge. It is very crowded, on small tables, in a hot room. While the food was fantastic, the venue made the experience a little uncomfortable. Still, if you want great food for a reasonable price, then this is a simple choice. Vegetarian options: Lots of choice and you can customize pizzas. Dietary restrictions: Lots of choice for vegans and gluten free diets.
We came here for lunch today and I was worried it would be a tourist trap, and how wrong I was. The pizza was worth the hype, we absolutely loved it. It’s a pretty quaint place and we sat upstairs to get away from the heat outdoors. We ordered a margherita pizza to share for lunch and a couple of beers. The dough was well cooked, yet still had a nice chew to it, and the tomato sauce was so tasty. I’d definitely come back here again. Simple, but damn tasty
Came on a trip from with my friends to Sorrento and was recommended Frankie’s. Amazing atmosphere and incredible pizza. Aside from the food, Frankie is a stand up dude who truly cares about his customers. Along with that you truly get a family pizzeria vibe. He’s got an amazing son who greets you at the door and the best chef in Sorrento with his wife. He accommodated to all our needs and kept the bar open late because we were having such a great time. Not only should you stop into Frankie’s if in the Sorrento area, but also travel just to catch a bite at the best hidden gem around. 10000/10.
Now I understand why this place has so many good reviews! First of all: they let me in 2h before the kitchen was open, to wait the rain to stop and drink something. Then I tried to have a classic: only tomato sauce, fresh buffala mozzarella and basil. Probably the best pizza I ever had well…I’m going to Naples in two days…. The place is small and not fancy. The staff is super friendly and the drink I tried with local limoncello and sparkling wine was really good! Don’t miss it!!
Best pizza in Sorrento. I ordered a veggie pizza the one with eggplant and zucchini and tomato. The dough was beautiful, not too thick or thin, as were the flavours of the base, and its toppings. The wine was fantastic, local and well-priced, and the setting of the restaurant was idyllic. All in all a wonderful experience; decent service too. I would be back here for sure if I was back in Sorrento.
Went to Frankie's on back to back nights during our stay in Sorrento. The service is incredible, the big pizzas are great and the atmosphere is very cozy. Everything we had to eat was great and came quickly. We had the pleasure of watching the World Cup final on a nice TV upstairs, so if you wanna watch a big game, this is a place to go in Sorrento. Can't say enough about the service. Obviously a good English menu and prices are very fair. Thanks!!!
I have been disappointed with many pizza meals in Italy. Too many are quickly made for tourists. Found this one through Google/Tripadvisor, and the reviews don't lie. Great and fast service and outstanding pizza. Had the pleasure of having the owner Frankie as our waiter, and had a long personal talk with him. Very pleasant person who took the time to talk to us while also ensuring we received a very good service - and 2 great pizzas :-
Absolutely love Frankie's Pizza Bar! Great vegan options. Visited twice while on holiday in Sorrento. I'm vegan and one of the people I was dining with for one of my meals visited twice is dairy free. Neither of us missed out my friend had a meat pizza but with dairy free cheese Their vegan menu is wide ranging and I enjoyed gnocchi one time and the other I had a vegan calzone with vegan cheese and vegan ham, followed by a delicious cheesecake. Frankie’s is incredibly good pizza. My wife and I came here twice it was so good. It is right in the heart of town. Super cozy, Napoli style pizza place. American tourist be warned. You eat pizza with a knife and fork. No slices. The prices were incredible cheap for a delicious pizza. I would definitely recommend coming here when you first get into Sorrento.
