We enjoyed our experience at Fozzie's. Visiting from out of town for business, we looked into the highest rated restaurants in town, and this was high on the list. It definitely lives up to the hype. It has a cool, causal environment and a lot of personal touches in decor that make the think this place is well loved by the staff and owners. My husband ordered the walleye dinner with their recommended Mac and cheese as a side, along with a side salad. It was delicious. I'll admit that I snuck a couple bites off his plate. They fish was cooked perfectly! I ordered the brisket salad, and it was without a doubt the best salad I have ever had. Great composition and incredibly smoky, tender, and well-spiced brisket. Also, as an aside, we witnessed an unsavory incident that occurred regarding another person in the restaurant, and the whole staff handled it with grace, care, and unity. I was very grateful for them! So, if you're in the Bemidji area, I highly recommend Fozzie's, the brisket, and the Mac and cheese! Enjoy!
The food was very good. The service was a little slow but that's expected with staff shortages. However, we did really like our server. The ribs were excellent. $2 beer pounders was a great special. We highly recommend.
Amazing BBQ, the perfect atmosphere. When you are outside you can smell the meat smoking, once entering the establishment you will start salivating and drooling just from the smells. Brisket burrito is a 10/10 Ribs 10/10 One of the best BBQ joints I have ever been too. Highly highly recommend.
The overall experience was good. Ambiance and waitstaff good. Not complaining but… My issue was with the rub that was used on the brisket. You need to rename this Black Pepper Brisket. Only the center parts were edible. It looked like each cut was coated with a black pepper crust then smoked. If I had some warning on how hot spice wise the brisket was, I would have ordered a non BBQ item.
Today was my and My friends 1st time checking out this place. Throughly enjoyed it. I love the idea of buying a round of beer for the kitchen. Food was GENEROUSLY proportioned. Oh, and also my friend spotted Duff Goldman eating dinner there with his lil family.
I went in to grab some brisket and try the old fashioned. Best brisket in the state of Minnesota. Definitely worth the stop for drinks and food
Totally stumbled on this place by mistake. We were actually walking to a different place when we saw it and decided to give it a try. We had the monster tots with brisket, the mac n cheese egg rolls, and an order of cornbread. The cornbread was so yummy. It was ferns but still fluffy. The whipped butter that came with was the perfect topper. I think it was a honey butter and it had a touch of cinnamon. I thought the mac n cheese in the egg roll wrapper was odd. For me it just didn't seem right, lol. The egg roll was crisp, not greasy. The mac n cheese inside was the best I've ever had that wasn't my own. I've ordered mac n cheese so many times and I have NEVER said I would order it again. I really wished I had ordered the loaded mac n cheese after I tasted what was inside that egg roll. The monster tots were golden, crunchy, and were smothered with cheese, "Fozzie sauce", and pulled brisket. The Fozzie sauce had a hint of sweet, a hint of spice, with just the right amount of kick. The brisket was the best either of us had ever had. Please don't tell my pitmaster cousin. His is competition worthy, but Fozzie's would win hands down! Don't forget to like my review if you thought it useful

Such a great BBQ place! The atmosphere was so comfortable. Saw the owners in the kitchen making food with smiles on their faces. Everything tasted great, Mac and cheese was the best I've ever had. We can not wait to go back!!
Food was fantastic! We had the Mac and cheese egg roll, tacos,burrito and the cornbread all tasta sooo good. really the only thing that I would change is that we got our appetizer at the same time as our meal.
