Foxtown Brewing
"Foxtown Brewing is steeped in tradition and driven by a passion for great beer. Once the Opitz Zimmerman Brewery in the mid-1800s, Foxtown is a reclamation of Mequon history. We’re not the biggest brewery around, nor the flashiest, but you’ll see that we take brewing very seriously. Every ingredient in every recipe is backed by reason. Our beer is good on purpose."

Decent food options for a price. French fries had great seasoning. Burgers are good. Pork sandwich was kind of dry with cold BBQ sauce. Slaw was good. Good variety if beers. Our server was pretty pushy and not very friendly. Cool building with plenty of seating. Overall, a decent spot. Parking: Not tons of parking in the lot.
Wife and I are always on the search for an amazing burger…we found it today! The elk burger and the 1857 burger very so wonderfully flavorful. The Bavarian onion soup was delicious, and cheese curds perfectly gooey. Everything locally sourced, not the basic food service supplier product you get at so many other places. Service was great, thanks Brielle, and the history lessons and beer cave tour with Bill were very interesting!
Good choice for a quick bite...pricey I have to say.... in total we have 2 burgers, 2 beers and 8 chicken wings and we paid 70 dollars. My husband had the elk burger medium-well, it was really good; juicy and tasty. I had the pulled pork...it was just ok. Beers good however a bit colder.... would have been amazing. It's a family friendly place so don't be afraid to go with your baby . An advise: call for a reservation and if the weather is nice specify that you want be outside.
Very cool brewery and restaurant! I've been wanting to go there for a long time but their hours are never such that when driving by they were open. Finally got a chance to go on Valentine's day. Had a brisket burger and a caprese sandwich. Couple of their strong dark beers. The food was great, the beer was awesome. Only negative was we wanted to do the cave tour which is only from 2 to 4:00 p.m. but they had it closed due to Valentine's Day. We will definitely be back for dinner again and to check out the cave.
I would consider this a restaurant with a brewery attached. The place was buzzing and the food was great. The beer on the otherhand was just ok the me. Nothing really stood out over the other. Was the beer cold?...yes. Was the beer drinkable?...yes. I just didn't walk away satisfied with the beer. Great vibe though! And the service was great!
Stopped in today for beers and bite to eat. Only reason not a 5 star was our server, get its busy but dude like never checked on us. Had to go to bar to get beer and finally to cash out. Good beers and food was good. Had chicken wrap and one side had great ratio and the other not so much. The chicken could have been seasoned better but was good. Cool building though Cheers The Westons was out so that's wrong on pic...Did have deal running on 6 packs so got 2 to go
Good service, great beers n good food! Can't go wrong here for sure! I'm coming back! Well, I came back for lunch and better the second time! Great job!
Ate at the bar. The bar keep could be more attentive to the customer when the glass is empty or condiments with food are needed. Just a minor detail I noticed when coming in for lunch. They definitely have good and good beer selection.
Bluberry pancake beer was so good, they need to sell this in the 6 packs! Hopefully they are looking into growlers. Mac and cheese was so delicious, noodles cooked to perfection and creamy.
Was able to make a reservation through Open Table and was seated promptly on arrival. This restaurant is a cozy, pretty space with a beautiful copper topped bar which you can also order food at. The assortment of beers here is incredible, even offering a non-alcoholic option. I ordered the Ancho Beet Salad with salmon, which was absolutely delicious. The salmon was prepared perfectly. Tender, juicy, and hot. It's probably the best I've had on a salad. My husband ordered the fish sandwich. The fish on the sandwich had a nice crisy coating, but there was just a little too much tartar sauce. The seasoned fries that came with it were flavorful and crispy. This place offers cave tours, trivia night, live music, and 6 pack takeways. This was my first time here, but I would definitely go back.
