The Visitor Centre was closed when I visited in March, and they appeared to be doing some reservations. I hope it’s nice when it reopens
Who are the Fine People that Work at the Visitor Center, They were Super Helpful, Informative, Knowledgable and Kind. We went to the Rapids of the Drowned, and Learned a lot about what Fort Smith had to Offer and it's History. The Museum was also a Great Choice. Kudos.
Staff was incredible. Very nice place
Before your venture into the Wood Buffalo National Park, make sure to stop at the Fort Smith Visitor Centre.nnThere is a small museum and shop with nice items and souvenirs.nnAlso, the person who welcomed us was very friendly. She took the time to show us points of interest on a map and to answer our questions. It was helpful and we discovered very beautiful places thanks to her recommendations!
The young university students at the visitor centre were great! Helpful, knowledgeable and enthusiastic. We took their advice and recommendations and had a great visit! Don’t miss Rapids of the Drowned. And if time allows, go on the Grosbeak Lake hike. Fascinating!
