A group of us used one of the activity rooms for a crafting get together. The space was awesome : lots of room, fridge, microwave, kettle, coffee maker all readily available in the room. Tables were easy to move, plenty of chairs, nice even temperature and quiet : hoping to return in the future.
Easy location to get to. Free parking. They have a weight room, ice hockey rink, regular gym. On Free skate days the music is playing and they set up an area for beginners and one for more advanced skaters. Lots of benches in the arena to watch.
Good parking space. Lots of activities to try. Library is open till 8 pm
A very good club is that I would recommend for anybody 55+ to join. The best part of it is the price it is free they even provide free beverages specifically tea and coffee as well as water but not bottled water. Most clubs or senior centers are very monetary thankfully not here. I have only be there twice and each time want to go back. They have an excellent book club there which gave me a second interest in reading. Every Thursday they have an excellent card and games group there. They do have more staff and volunteers than participants however everyone I met there are friendly, welcoming and helpful. Would definitely recommend giving this place a try.nGary DeLucanWinnipeg
Nice little spot with everything you need for a gym. My only gripe is toward the younger gens who on occasion come in with their outdoor shoes on, don’t wipe down their machines after use, if they do wipe them down, they stuff used paper towel inside the paper towel roll instead of the garbage, they spend 15 mins on one machine and 12 of those minutes are on their phone, they don’t re-rack weights, and if they do, they bury pins and non-corresponding weight plates behind the plates they rack. But the staff does an excellent job of keeping the place extremely clean, and well organized. The washrooms are exceptionally clean, and the equipment all functions like it should. So outside of the occasional disrespectful 20 somethings ,this place is great, and no gym is ever perfect with its clientele to begin with. The staff is very friendly and welcoming, the other patrons of the gym have great etiquette, and I consider this place to be a nice little hidden gem of a gym. IMO, one of the best in the city.
