Forest Haven Inn

Great location which allows for a peaceful sleep experience, nice breeze. There are restaurants nearby. Owners are very friendly and prepared a delicious breakfast. Our room was also very clean. Make sure to respect the no scent policy including shampoos, sunscreen, etc.

Owner came to door and sniffed me like a dog to see if I smoked. We were looking for a scent friendly accommodation as one of our party has allergies. After entering the house the owner freaked out and ran out of the house claiming that someone had on perfume which was not so because of our own allergy issues. Very weird experience.

Very strange experience!nThis was booked several months ahead of time, for an annual weekend away. The day prior to our arrival, the owner called and explained that she scent allergies, asking to refrain from using 2 specific types of laundry. We agreed that wouldn't be an issue. Upon our arrival, she began sniffing the first of the group members as they entered. She said that we would have to leave because one of us smelled of something that triggered her allergies. She went on to say that she's allergic to all scents, despite only mentioning 2 specific detergents on the phone...just the day before! While the website does indicate scent free, it definitely does not cover the extent to which her guests need to accommodate.nDefinitely would not recommend!nnWe ended up at a very lovely air bnb with a very lovely host not too far away!
