Kathy and Maria are the pillars of the good nature of this stores employees. They can literally read my thoughts.nnA negative review was previously posted that the pricing in this store is based on greed. I disagree, sometimes people speak while not knowing all the facts. I am not a grocer, but I recognize that this convenient 'in town' option still has the same number of deliveries to maintain fresh product as the big guys do, but likely 1/10 of the product on the truck. Efficiencies are lost in these smaller stores on many levels. It is still cheaper to shop here for smaller purchases rather than driving to Midland. Convenience is everything and I would be sad if this store was not here.
It is a good store compared to the others in the chain. The layout seems a little bit different. The products and produce are not as appealing as the other Foodland stores located near bigger populations but I guess that is something you could expect. Still this store has all the basics and more for almost all people. They have firewood, bagged ice and seasonal offerings. Lotto tickets and all that too. The staff are the best part of the store, so helpful and friendly.
There was a friendly employee with long, curly blue hair like four years ago. I think he said his name was Zainder or something. He helped me find a banana. Great experience

I shop every day at this store and I’ve just left after trying to purchase two chocolate bars. I had left my wallet at home and so gathered all of the change I could from the car.nTwo chocolate bars came to $4.50. I had $4.45. I told her that I would just go and get five cents and I would be back and attempted to take the chocolate bars with me because I’m in the store every day. Several times a day actually. I was told to leave the chocolate bars there and have 4 people in line wait for me to bring back five cents to complete the transaction.nI walked away and it will be a long time before I go back after being treated like a criminal over 5 centsnI left my $4.45 on the counter and it’ll be a long time before you see more of my money.nnYou need to train your staff, because five cents worth of trust and good will were just misspent by one of them and it’ll cost you me doing 75% of my shopping at your store
