Very poor at keeping item's on shelves, the owner should know by now what's popular and order more stock. The pet section is allways out of stock, as well, prices are ridicules, except for when sales the owner can't control. Owners must think everyone is rich other wise. At least if your going to make people use the self check out give them a percentage off for doing your staffs work, no incentives what so ever. Other then that the Staff are the great ones of this Store
Seriously overpriced, 2x toronto for everything. Terrible store layout and no customer service. Hope inflation corrects the owners’ s attitude. Be part of the community and take your hand out of our pocket.
OK selection. Above average prices. Lots of parking. Self checks are good for smaller orders.
Terrible place to shop and even worse to work at. The management is a mess, and if you dare to move on to better opportunitys, they harass you at your new place of employment. The prices are through the roof, definitely worth the gas to do your shopping at the Independant in Meaford. You could not pay me to shop there with all I have learned from behind the scenes.
I got here pretty often and sometimes the have great deal. However if you are visibly from outside the city he wanted that the price is often double for certain items. Tomatoes at 3$ a pound for example. It’s really a grocery for tourists who are willing to spend whatever on their weekend trip to the cottage. The hot meal bar is however very excellent. Food finishes by 5 pm or earlier so make sure to get there early. Two pieces of friend chicken and a side is 5.49, a literal steak of a deal.
The butcher is terrific. The variety of meats is really good. We drive into Thornbury mainly because of the meats. The one area of the store I don’t care for but don’t have a suggestion as to where else to put it is the organic and gluten-free aisles.
Better quality veggies and meat but more expensive than Independent in Meaford.
Very clean store, great selection, stocked well, nice cashiers. Happy customer.
Overpriced and expensive produce in this store. They cater to cottagers and increase prices. Fruit and vegetables are not fresh. Very disappointed, with what is supposed to be a local , Ontario based store.
Often missing things and weird selection of what they do have. Today I was looking for looking for Parmesan or Pecorino along with pancetta. None of that was available. Couldn't find someone to ask. Oh well, off to Collingwood next time.
