Update on my post!nStaff is phenomenal. Truly the only thing that makes shopping here not totally soul destroying. I hope they get treated well!!! Especially Suzanne. She keeps things real. Love her.nnBUT…nnIt’s still horrible! Garlic is recently better but the OLD produce being hidden under fresh is WILD especially for the prices they charge. Old produce that is never fresh - it’s like they get deals on the worst quality produce and up the price to the point of being unaffordable. The prices are criminal for the quality - I don’t mind paying for FRESH food but this is not fresh. Ever. The owners give the impression that they want as much $$$ as possible with no regard for the locals whatsoever.nnOriginal post a few years ago: still relevantnnWould you like some rotting produce, always? Expired garlic sooo rotten that it had no garlic left inside, on the shelf for months? Would you like surprise expired goods? Would you like the cheapest stuff that’s being over charged? Would you like the worst selection? Brown meat that says it was packed “today?” Well this is the place for you! Come waste all your money at Madoc Foodland. The old owner was so great but since the new ownership a few years ago, this place is the WORST.

Great staff- always eager to help-good reason to shop local. Always have the best produce - worth the extra price- no produce in Belleville compares to Foodland’s quality. Russell is a great representative for Madoc Foodland.

Always, and I mean always...the cleanest and tidiest Foodland out there. Bar none. The greeting staff are affable and friendly - and people forget that they are standing there, giving you a washed down cart - to protect you from COVID. So take the cart, and say thank you. The store is always full of fresh food, great meats selection and the largest, most delicious sandwiches I have seen in my entire life!!
