Foodland - Kirkland Lake

This is my first time visiting Kirkland Lake. I was served by Lianna today, who has the kindest and warmest personality.nnTheir produce are so fresh here, fresher than the big city grocery stores. Recommend.

Some prices are better than the other grocery store, some are not. I hate having to drag my ID out to buy beer, since I'm closing on 60 years old. I mean, I know I've aged well, but I know no one wonders if I'm 19. Love the Dagwood sandwiches and the Nanaimo bars! Good sales come along. Produce is always fresh and the deli counter has everything you'd want. Plenty of parking.nnThe owner can be a little grumpy and I don't like the way he looks at me sometimes, like he's suspicious I'm going to steal something. But whatever, I don't know his experience with older guys that have long hair and are covered in tattoos right? I'm kinda used to being followed by store security in the chain stores and it mostly makes me laugh because while they're following me, a basically honest person, no doubt someone else is stealing something. Teach you to judge eh? But I digress... they get only 4 stars because of the ID thing.

I have purchased a lot of beef over the past 10 years trying to get something even close to Alberta beef which I had for 35 years. Ontario in comparison is awful. Not sure why? But today was the worse. I compared it to dog food beef I couldn't even chew it!

This grocery store is a go-to for affordable and reliable shopping. The quality is consistently good, and the prices are some of the best around. Whether it’s pantry staples, fresh produce, or frozen meals.nnThe store is clean, well-organized, and usually well-stocked, even during busy times.

Better prices IN STORE than the other grocery store, don't let the flyers fool you, the others use 'bait and switch' tactics to lure customers. Always easy shopping and short lines too!nnedit: ALWAYS the lowest price in town for bottled water
