A very nice art museum!!! I spent a few hours in here looking through all the exhibits, there was plenty to look at and admire. And it was free! And the university of vermont campus is a beautiful walk ‍
Wonderful collection in a nice old building. Great narratives. Didn't care for thier preference of brochures over labels, but that's their choice.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNot sure

This was a wonderful art museum. Powerful and diverse galleries that were wonderfully curated. I also enjoyed an archeology room which was open to the public. They changed the pieces in that room daily there are only a few but they are more "damaged" pieces so they aren't fit for normal exhibition -- but you can really look at them up close. Very cool!
Fantastic museum! Currently hosting superb show of prints and lithographs by Rockwell Kent. Curator was amazing, so knowledgeable and engaging.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entryFree
A surprisingly nice little museum at the UVM campus. I wasn't expecting as many exhibits as they had. Just a little bit of everything. There even were traveling exhibits that weren't some small stuff, but by actual nationally acclaimed artists. The big atrium felt a little empty. Maybe we were between installations? At any rate, can't argue with free admission to take a look around.
I worked here as a graduate student and really enjoyed getting to work with the staff. Cynthia made it such a safe space for POC and is very in-tune with the changes that need to happen in museums today. The exhibits are informative, and the staff are very well-educated on the collections.
As a UVM alum I can say that the Fleming museum boasts an impressive permanent collection as well as many rotating exhibits. As far as art museums in Burlington, this one offers the most diverse collection. Definitely check the samurai armor from the Edo period and the actual mummy!Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entryFree
The artwork outside was lovely but unfortunately the museum is NOT open on Sundays contrary to the posted hours on Google. We will return!
Visited this museum during the summer, when it is typically closed to the public, so was only able to observe a small portion of the exhibits. Thoughtfully laid out, and displaying many local and regional articles of significance, this museum is worth a visit. Staff are friendly and helpful, and can assist you in finding items of interest. Parking is limited, but generally available.
