Visited the place on Sunday. The farmers market is just in front of the building, a perfect place to quench that thirst after spending time lookie-lookie and supporting the market vendors. They also have a mobile food stand 'fuzzy pickles' selling burger, Philadelphia steak sandwiches and Hotdogs, PERFECT! Gr8 place to spend the early Sunday.
Beers were ok, but the staff was not very friendly, and I felt instantly I didn’t want to stay any longer at this place. There are many breweries in Chilliwack, but honestly this is the least place I would visit among them. It is too bad to feel that way since they have a pretty good selection of craft beers.
My wife, her bestie and I visited Flashback Brewing as we were doing the micro-brewery hop in downtown Chilliwack. The owner was very friendly and chatted with us a bit. We really enjoyed everything we tried as we ordered flights to get a taste of different brews. We had the For Old Times Sake Lager, My Red Mac Ale, The Cerveza Lima Radler and a dark lager called Use the Schwarz. The place was clean, the atmosphere was cozy and we felt very comfortable the entire time. We look forward to going back when we are next in BC.
Went on pride day cause it was hot and this place looks nice and refreshing, but the beer was off, way off. The dark beer had such a bad smell my wife took one sip and had to leave. I know we should have said something, I rarely review places without giving them a chance, but the guy behind the counter wouldn't give us the time of day. Kudos to Whoever designed this place, cool vibe but if beet id their business, business is not good.
This brewery is amazing. A short walk away from the main District 1881 in Chilliwack, but totally worth the short walk. Terrific atmosphere. Fantastic beers. Fun games to play while enjoying their wide variety of delicious beers. Great music and chill vibes. Arguably the best brewery in downtown Chilliwack. Highly recommend.
The beer was great, the Hazy IPA is my personal favourite, when we went it was nice and calm 1530 on a Thurs, quiet, big place. Enjoyable experience with me and my friends.
I love flashback! The staff are super friendly and they have such a laid back atmosphere. I can't wait for their kitchen to open up, that will truly be the cherry on top!
Good beer and a cool locale but never seems to be busy, limited menu options and staff isn’t super welcoming but I do like this place. A distant second to those down the road but not bad overall.
Service seems to be hit or miss depending on which server you get. They had a cherry lime seltzer on the menu last visit, asked twice in a row using different phrasing to try finding out what was in it but couldn't seem to get a straight answer from anybody. Beers were just okay, a little warmer than I'd prefer, and none of them really popped to distinguish them from the solid offerings already available at Bricklayer and Fieldhouse around the corner. And I was straight up disappointed when the raspberry wheat ale tasted like their okay wheat ale mixed with juice, and the cherry lime seltzer tasted like their okay wheat ale flavoured with a cloying cherry lime syrup. It just wasn't that great. The location itself is picturesque enough with it's restored interior brickwork and high ceilings. The Flashback sign mounted outside on Mill Street looks kinda out of place, but everything otherwise looks okay. It's a super cool old building. But you can see just as much downtown history a block away at Bricklayer, while enjoying a better vibe, better service, and better beer. Flashback is worth checking out but simply doesn't offer enough to make it worth staying.
I like this place.. but I’m always disappointed with the selection and price. Only 3 beers on tap the last time I visited. And unless I read the menu wrong, $6 for 12oz is too much. I’ll visit again because of its vibe and location, but the price prevents me from settling in.
