Great local shop for amazing donuts. CASH ONLY! The bear claws and apple strudel are HUGE. Great flavor on donuts, get the maple bacon, blue berry, or jelly. In all honesty you can't go wrong with any flavors.

We aware they are cash only but they are also worth it. They have a maple bacon donut that is by far the best I've ever had. Everything is fresh and amazing. Have yet to have a donut there that I didn't like. We discovered Flanders when we were up for a weekend from DC and made a point to swing through (out of our way) when we were headed to Vermont for a weekend some 6 months later. I wish we lived closer I'd be a regular.

The donuts are great but the staff is really rude. We arrived a few minutes before closing, which I understand can be frustrating, but if the shop is open until four, then don't run over and shut off the open sign a few minutes early because you see customers roll up when you're in a hurry to leave. She was obviously dismayed about being pulled away from the phone call she was on. Regardless of her poor priorities, her attitude while serving us was neither appreciated nor warranted.

I lived in East Lyme for 20 years and when I moved away to another town this is the place that I miss the most. They have the best homemade donuts. Tons and tons of varieties plus plenty of pastries to pick from. I highly recommend them as the best bakery in the area. Their bagels are they way they make them in New York City crispy on the outside chewy on the inside. They only accept cash so be prepared. The crumb donut is always a family favorite.
