Appetizers had nice flavor and were prepared and cooked well. Salt and pepper shrimp, Chinese broccoli were delicious. The other dishes were good too. The fried rice was a very greasy and under seasoned. The salt and pepper tofu was so over cooked, it had a hard shell. The tofu also did not have any flavor and in need of seasoning.
This is more of a 4.5. Ambiance, drinks, appetizers and entrees were great except for the Pad Thai a very low effort recipe with what tasted like banana ketchup. Other than this minor exception. Service was exceptional. Made reservations for a party of 10 which was very easy and even got a text to confirm the day of. We had a very nice, private room with an electric fireplace. I would come here again and tell my friends about, however, I would order another entree not the Pad Thai again.
Seriously the best Chinese restaurant in all of NW suburbs. Every dish came out delicious and the ingredients were so fresh! You can't go wrong with any of the dishes. We will be coming back often for sure. Just wow!
I called this place prior to coming and was a good thing I did. The day I went, there was a huge party that took over the whole restaurant but an employee told me that they have the small room which was supposed to be an actual party room for this restaurant open for walk-in customers because the owner didn't want walk-ins to come all the way to be turned down which I do live 30mins away Anyways, as walking in, I thought the place was very nice and clean, there were a lot of employees which made the vibe really welcoming. The waiting area has a nice fruit infused water and some candies. This was our first time here. We 2 adults, 1 kid eats like an adult, and 2 toddlers decided to order more than we usually do on a typical Sunday evening. My husband ordered Tonkotsu Garlic Ramen and oldest ordered the Spicy Umami Miso Ramen. Both tasted very flavorful. I like the spice wasn't too powering and was a perfect kick so I would choose the Spicy Umami over the Tonkotsu but I'd order both if I can eat all of both. We ordered the eggrolls which was devoured in seconds. We also ordered, potstickers, edamame and the Taiwanese Popcorn Chicken. All tasted very yummy. For the main dishes, we ordered the Authentic Chinese Yang Chow Fried Rice, Salt & Pepper Squid, Beef Chow Fun w/ Gravy, and Honey Walnut Shrimp. The Fried Rice tasted so authentic and brought back so much memories. I can't remember the last time I tasted such flavors in my fried rice since childhood. The Squid was good but the diced jalapeños/peppers weren't spicy enough for me. Usually, Chow fun with gravy is always with dark sauce but I asked if we can omit the soy sauce and make it into a "white" sauce. The waitress was happy to accommodate this and tasted so good. I'm not too much of a meat eater so maybe next time I'll also ask if I can omit the protein and ask for extra chinese broccoli. The walnut Shrimp was the typical and we only ordered because our two younger loves that dish. I probably wouldn't order it again and would love to try the dynamite Shrimp or crunchy garlic Shrimp next time. Overall, definitely would come back. The owner I believe, Brian stopped over by our table to ask how the food was. I love that type of service when the owner is very involved. When the kids and husband went to the washroom, he came out telling me the water was scorching hot and it would burn others for sure so he told someone about it and they went to check it out right away, fixed it, and let us know. We ordered drinks to go. It's the typical boba teas and fruit drinks. Nothing too special but I would still order them again because it wasn't on my bad list. Overall, definitely will come back! Another reason to come back because they have a lot of vegan options for when some family members come to visit us yes, we'll drive out 30+ mins as a dinner night get together
Been looking for a descent meal for a while. The area is lacking great tasting authentic food. After driving by this place and watching it go through a remodel we decided to try it. Lobby is cute and has lots of fluffy clouds coming from the ceiling. Dinning room was smaller then I expected but still had plenty of tables. Menu had a good selection too with lots of choices. We ordered our food and the waitress asked if the spice level was okay. I said yes, I like the heat. Hot and sour soup was a perfect balance between the sour and the heat. It was a Great way to start. Entrées we’re Chicken Lo Mein and General Tso's chicken. Finally a great Lo Mein. Perfect mixture of oil spices and the correct noodles. Chicken was Cooked perfectly and tender. The General Tso's chicken was covered in a thick spicy sauce and the chicken was crispy and delicious. Just the right amount of heat. We even got to meet the owner Brian who was super pleasant and told us about the future of the restaurant. I can’t wait to go back as the food was delicious and the service was excellent. I’m looking forward to all the new items that will be coming soon to the menu as well. We will be back for sure.
Great experience getting take out here and looking forward to dining in! The staff was friendly. Nice ambience. We got a fruit tea and matcha strawberry drink and they taste great. For food, we picked up the Taiwanese popcorn chicken and the Sichuan spicy wonton in red oil. Both really tasty. A wide range of East Asian dishes on the menu. There's a small party room for events and a patio as well. Great that this place is in this neighborhood!
More like 4.5 stars. Lots of variety of Asian dishes. Something for everyone. Both spicy and non-spicy options. Most of the dishes were well executed. The spicy chicken, Thai fried rice, five spice brisket and pork belly were delicious. The Korean short ribs were a bit chewy but had good flavor. The dry chow fun noodles were a bit clumpy, but again flavor was good. Lots of yummy and beautiful drink options. Friendly service. Would come again.
This was our first time going to this location. Loved the bubble tea, food, ambiance. Staff was super friendly and everything was delicious. We live so close by and will defiantly love to come back for more.
Fresh food and very fast service. Was welcomed right away when we got inside. Tried 2 different teas an loved them both. Definitely coming back.
Great food and great service! We love trying the different kinds of boba drinks. The ramen is amazing. Everything we have tried so far is really good. Definitely will go back.
