I had an extensive bike fit session with Scott today and I have to say the experience was wonderful! I was a bit nervous going into this as I had read comments indicating that he has a condescending attitude to some of the other reviewers. In my experience, this couldn't be further from the truth. I imagine some reviewers took his direct and confident tone as something to be concerned with. The reality is Scott is confident because he is incredibly knowledgeable and has extensive experience in this field. I found him to be very engaging and passionate about his work and was always welcoming to my questions. At no point did I ever feel forced to buy any of his parts, as he was always transparent about options. Scott took significant time, almost 2 hours, to conduct a number of measurements and tests on my body while explaining how pronation and other biomechanics can greatly impact comfort and efficiency. I found it very informative and helpful to understanding the root causes of some of the issues I face when cycling. Once I actually hopped into the bike, we first started at the rear by trying a couple of new saddles and it made a world of difference. We then moved to the front of the bike where we performed stem and handlebar adjustments to find an optimal one for me. By time we were done, 5 amazing hours had passed and it was a truely enjoyable experience. I will enthusiastically recommended Scott to anyone looking for a proper fitting experience.
I'm a recreational cyclist that has been on and off the bike for the past 15 years and have taken things more seriously within the last 5. I decided to finally get a bike fit for my daily ride and chose to go with Scott. The experience was awesome. I was a bit nervous at the beginning but once I understood that Scott's passion and professionalism for the art of Bike Fitting drove the session I focused on everything he was saying. His knowledge and attention to detail about how to mold a bike to a body in motion is amazing. Aside from the bike session, I learned so much about my body, its interaction with the bike and what I can do to improve. Scott warned me before, that since my bike was purchased second hand that these features would limit the range of adjustments that could be done. Regardless, he was still able to work his magic which improved the total comfort of my ride. I will definitely be reaching out to Scott for guidance when buying my next bike and visiting him again after I do.
Scott is exceptional. I purchased a new bike from a well regarded high end bike shop in Toronto with a professional fitter. Scott took my bike fit to a completely different level that is orders of magnitude better than anything I could have expected anywhere. If you are more than a basic commuter just looking to get by on your bike, then Scott is a necessary element of making your cycling experience a positive one. He is among the best of the professionals I have met in any field. Definitely worth doing.
Scott is very professional and informative. He will take the time to explain every step of your bike fit and answer any questions. He works with you on fitting your bike to your body or needs. I road my first road bike for a year before getting it fitted and it made such a difference in my riding and overall comfort on the bike. I returned to Scott to fit my track bike and I will be visiting Scott with my new road bike again. Scott has a selection of products for sale such as stems, saddles and handlebars which are all quality products that he supports. Thanks, Scott.
Great bike fit session with Scott! The assessment was thorough and informative. Having pain in the back of the knees, hip and lower back I was overdue for a proper bike fit. It turns out I had many issues with my setup. So We replaced the seat to fit my pelvic bones, added insole arch support and shoe bracket wedges, raised the seat height and lowered the handle bars! All of which has drastically improved my comfort, stability and power! I will be back with my gravel bike! Thanks Scott!
I had my full fitting with Scott the other week and I had a fantastic experience. My newly set up bike feels noticeably more comfortable to ride and it was also a great learning experience for me. Scott is extremely professional and very informative about all things cycling. If you're planning on taking cycling more seriously and want to get the most out of your bike, I would highly recommend a fitting with Scott.
I went for a 4 hour bike fit of my TT bike, because I had read reviews that Scott was very good and really knew what he was doing. Prior to seeing Scott, I had my bike fit at the store I bought it at, but I didn't feel comfortable, and there were spots where I would get sore - ie left IT band. When I came for my fitting, I was impressed that half the time was assessing my history, anatomy - things like old injuries and flexibility - all of which should be taken into account for a good bike fit he did a better assessment than the physio I have gone to for injuries in the past. Scott also educated me a lot about my particular challenges, and made excellent recommendations for stretching/strengthening exercises. He got my bike into a set up that works so much better for me - and when we were done, I needed to take it to the shop to have spacers put in to raise the cockpit - so that this last step will get the bike fit to be exactly what Scott recommended. Not only do I feel so much better on the bike, and feel that it's easier to ride for much longer - but I feel that I can generate more power at lower heart rates I'm more efficient!. I also loved that during the discussion, Scott asked questions about things that I forget... like the fact that I get numbness in my toes on longer rides. I'm excited that after this fit, those won't be issues anymore, because Scott adjusted my cleats and my foot position is so much better. Scott's knowledge and experience is amazing, and he takes the time to explain it. I highly recommend getting a bike fitting with Scott.
Great bike fitting session, Scott is great to work with and extremely knowledgeable. Even putting aside the bike session, I learned so much about my body, it's interaction with the bike and what I can do to improve. My bike is not easy to work with as it was a completely integrated cockpit, was purchased second-hand so the fork is cut and can take no additional spacers and has an aero seat post. Scott warned me before hand that these features will limit what can be done, but regardless he was still able to make significant changes which have improved the comfort of my bike. I will definitely be reaching out to Scott for guidance when buying a new bike and visiting him again after I do.
Best Decision I ever made before I invest in a road bike. Not only Scott helped me with my sizing, but also taught me how riding should be. I am completely new and riding is not as easy as it seems. There are a lot of things you have to watch out for to have an efficient and comfortable ride. With all these information available, you can pick a bike that fits you. Not to mention Scott is also very detailed with his stats and correlations between the stats.
I had a full sizing cycle fitt with Scott earlier this month and I have to say that it was worth it. I went to Scott because I'm looking at getting my first road bike and I want to ensure that I don't waste money on something that didn't work for me. Scott is very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. He even made sure that I understood the principles behind the measurements. Once I get a new bike, I will definitely return to Scott for the full fitting.
