It's still alive. Never busy. Go in before it sinks into the ground. Remember the fake wood panel in your parents wreck room. Its found a home here. Old charm, don't worry if lots of motorcycles outside. Chinese food is fair but I wonder what the kitchen looks like. Only true pub between Courtenay and Campbell River.
Went in there for lunch one day with couple of friends. It was around 1 pm owner was drinking beer with two of his friends. There was not an employee I'm sight. The owner asked how he could help before I could even sit down. I said we are here for lunch he laughed and said "we got beer for sale" worst pub experience I have ever had in Campbell river area. If you are here from out of town look up Salmon point restaurant for a nice place to eat.
Came here a few months ago it could have been longer if it was any good id remeber. Beer was flat, food was cold even though we were one of two tables. Now the guy wants to charge people to walk on the river. So that about sums up this dump.
Used to be a great place until the new owners took over, talk about ruining a good opportunity for yourself. Don’t go here, it’s a money grab. Guarantee the menu will be over priced.
Rude new owners trying to dictate illegal sanctions against the local population with untrue claims. Anyone visiting the Campbell River, Courtenay, Comox, Oyster River, Black Creek area of Vancouver Island would be smart to avoid this place at all costs.
Went there with group of 6 last year for lunch. 5 of 6 got food poisoning. This year they start charging for access to the river bank beside there pub. Probably the worst business I know of on Vancouver island.
A swim in the Oyster River right outside of their closed doors was quite nice, hence the 2 stars. Other than that it looks like the doors may be permanently closed.
Owner thinks he owns the river and thinks he can charge the public to use it. bad food, bad service, please don’t support this business
They want to charge the public for use of this land ,, this is moronic and probably business suicide Manager Roman posted on Facebook 10 bucks a day per person to use the local trails What a way to ruin a local restaurant
Garbage food with terrible service super unsanitary place looks like it hasn't been cleaned In a long time new owners are very rude
