Fisherman's Cove

Story

For over 45 Years the McArthur Family has been in the camping tourist business. First Fisherman's Cove was a fishing camp with great pike and bass fishing as it is today. In 1971, Allen and Wilda McArthur and their two children, Richard and Kimberly moved to Fisherman's Cove Tent and Trailer Park which consisted of 150 acres of rolling land overlooking a 200 acre spring-fed lake. Since then the McArthur Family have planted 100,000 trees which are well over 30 feet high. The camp is now nestled among a wonderful forest which is a home to birds, deer and many other forms of wildlife.

Today, Fisherman's Cove Tent and Trailer Park has 250 acres with approximately 500 sites in the R.V. Park. On June 12, 1995, the McArthur Family expanded a section of the property which was known as Fisherman's Cove Resort.

Best place in Ontario to camp. Clean and friendly

Sewer pipe backed up on adjacent campsite and there was a large amount of sewer water on the ground. The smell was awful. Had to eat dinner inside our trailer. They filled it in with several wheel barrels full of sand and threw some chemicals down the pipes so it didn't smell. I will not return. When we asked for some compensation we were told the smell would dissipate. That's fine. But we've had to stay inside our trailer and my dtr has been walking around this campsite all day. Not acceptable! Also the power kept going out with us running our water heater - hasn't happened at any other campground this summer. 1 star because I have no choice but there is a dog beach ans park and the campground it's self is nice. However, we paid $150 for the weekend (we were charged for and extra person for our 17 month old dtr). Also quite a bit of goose poop on the beaches. It gets raked over every morning with a large tractor take so it's just buried in the sand I gather?! Won't be returning.

The absolute best of the best family campground. Multiple activities for kids everyday. Great staff. Very clean and modern. Parks everywhere. My families favorite destination.

Very Nice facility Very sticky on rules especially over kill on noise! Careful not to laugh at the camp fire. Not sure we will go back on the way we were treated by park payroll.

Great campground only downfall was they charged us a extra $6.00 For our one year old son. Figured my wife and child and myself would be considered a family
