Story

In the heart of Eastern Passage, Nova Scotia, just twenty minutes outside of downtown Halifax, Fisherman's Cove's authentic fishing community is a hub of history, culture, and sustainable eco-tourism. Besides our stores, galleries and restaurants, a meadow boardwalk extends out towards the historic Lawlor & McNab's Island in the mouth of Halifax Harbour. Explore the Maritimes or rent a space for your next meeting in the Heritage Centre.

1 small souvenir shop, 1 stand with useful brochures about different places, 2 event rooms. Overall, for a place like this, this size is quite reasonable and normal.
Such a fun day trip from Halifax! We really enjoyed exploring the colourful cluster of little shacks after our lunch on the patio of Boondocks. And since it was low tide, we got to walk on the sand.
Beautiful wee spot with great views of Halifax across the bay.nThey were having a pirate/music weekend, which was very entertaining. The little stores along the front were whimsical and staff were very pleasant and welcoming.nBoondocks restaurant was amazing, Food was excellent, my waitress Mia was great.nOnly down side was the overwhelmingly fishy smell at the north end.nThe boardwalk was lovely to walk along, be careful of a few loosening boards though.nWill definitely go back before the summer ends.
it’s good for what you’d expect of a small museum that is only 1 room large. the descriptions of the objects and the info pieces around were easy to read and understand. i have lived in halifax my whole life and haven’t been here before, and it was great because it was free! it only takes 15-20 minutes to look at and read everything.
It is a 20 min drive from downtown Dartmouth on weekends. There is a small boardwalk where you can take a stroll along the water. There's also a beach where you can go for a swim during summers. Numerous dinning options are available. There is a coffee shop there too. A good spot to just sit an unwind after a long day. Highly recommend.
