This museum is fantastic. There is so much info and history it was great. I truly enjoyed everything. Hard to talk about something in particular… all the staff had lots of info and easiness to share their knowledge… on thing I have not seen anywhere else: a tribute to the real history with the indigenous and the intact in the Africa slave trade. I was very happy to see that but my perception is that it should of been at the beginning of the museum before we enter. It is such a profound statement and being of mikma’k and Haitian descent, it made me feel seen.nAlso because we don’t carry money anymore, maybe another system we could use for donation….
Lovely, rather rustic museum.. I would recommend a visit if your in Lunenburg. Lots of exhibits; very informative about the history of the region. I'd say the target audience would for older kids or adults. Worth the visit.
It was a great learning experience. The staff are super nice. I love how there have been small changes made to accommodate and attract children. I loved it here, and spent more time than I had planned.nThe only suggestion is an improvement in the aquarium section where children can interact with the creature. There should be more creatures there. It was really exciting for the children.
Great museum!nSuch an attention to details!nKids will love cute little facts about the fish and lots of games along the museum.nAdults will certainly learn a lot of new interesting facts.nnBe sure to save some time for the old fishing boat.
Very interesting and cool museum. 3 stories of displays ranging for the fish, to history of fishing and the lives of fishermen. Staff were there to answer questions. Knowledgeable and friendly. Plus there is a fishing vessel moored outside you and board and explore. Well worth the visit. CAA discount as well!!
