Join us at our restaurant in Timmins for great food & great service. We invite you to help celebrate our 40th year. Locally owned & operated since 1976

Story

It is with love and affection that we remember opening the original tiny fish and chip shop and the small Fishbowl that was on the same property as the present Fishbowl location in Timmins.

Through the years, a growing number of loyal customers enjoyed the charm, the warm atmosphere, the good food and friendly service of the Fishbowl. This resulted in numerous expansions of our staff, our menu and our restaurant.

The past years have given us the opportunity to meet people from the four corners of the earth, to have many valued guests become friends and to work and grow with our dedicated staff.

We are thrilled to be a part of your community!

Really enjoyed the food and as a big eater the quantity was also amazing, i had a meal they had ti fit on 2 plates, i would definitely recommend it if you are in Timmins
We arrived at 4:30 since It was my moms birthday and she loves the Fishbowl. I am not a fan of seafood but walking in the special was chicken parmigiana and lime chicken. Was happy to see we’d have something delicious on the menu. My husband and I ordered the chicken parmigiana but the waitress told us they only had one piece of chicken parmigiana and one piece of lime chicken left. How strange since we were the first people in the restaurant and that was the special. My husband took the only chicken parmigiana so the Waitress suggested the lime chicken for me. Order arrived cold and the chicken parmigiana was delicious but the lime chicken was disgusting. It tasted like lime only, no spices just lime. When the waitress came to ask us how are food was I told her it wasn’t good and could not eat it since the lime taste was too strong and her reply is what did you think you were getting, it like chicken! I thought I was getting chicken with spices and a bit of lime not drenched in lime and no other flavour. Paid $30 for a special that I did not eat. One piece of cold carrot and one piece of cold broccoli and 2 scoops of cold mashed potatoes. Can tell you I will never be back… too bad because the even though I am not a fan of seafood had they not lied about only having one piece chicken parmigiana this review would have been a whole lot better. Fun fact: the chicken parmigiana was still listed on the board as a special when I walked out… very disappointing
We celebrated a friend's birthday at The Fish Bowl. Our server was fantastic and very attentive. The meal was overwhelming... There was lots to take home. If I had to make a suggestion, it would be brighten it up. Paint and fresh lighting would go a long way. Either way we would go back.Food: 5/5
The Fishbowl is a Timmins staple. The food is always excellent and the service is always fantastic. The owners, Louise & Lise, have worked tremendously hard to keep this little jewel operating throughout these last few years. This is our favourite restaurant.
Updated Review: fish and chips were perfect once again and tasted like they did back in the 90s. Mushroom caps were good too. One star off because the Stella on tap tasted old and had an iron/tin like taste. The waitress took the draft beers off our bill and we ordered bottles instead. Overall was a pleasant dining experience.
The famous fish and chips were good and my wife enjoyed the fisherman's plater with muscles. The appetizers were not go great the potato jackets were overcooked and a bit burnt and the salad was on the soggy side. Service was prompt, polite and professional. Overall an enjoyable experience.
Had a very good lunch here today. I had the salmon taco which was fantastic. The restaurant is clean and has great atmosphere. The service was slow but very friendly. Prices were very reasonable for the portions. The desert selection was also quite good. I would definitely come back.
I brought my girlfriend here for dinner and we tried mussels, stuffed lobster mushrooms, shrimp Alfredo, lobster dinner, cheese cake and polished for delicious cocktails! I am no food critic but the food was phenomenal and don't forget the staff, very friendly and approachable. Best part about going to these kind of restaurants is that they aren't chains so it's a night out that you can't pass up on!
New this month ask for the blue cocktail! Everything was delicious!
I haven’t been to the Fishbowl for a long time. I went with two people who had never been there before and I’m so glad the Fishbowl has not compromised any of it’s standards. This is my favourite place to eat that I’ve ever been to any time anywhere. The staff is amazing, the food is outstanding even the location is nice. Do yourself a favour and go there to enjoy this wonderful restaurant for yourself. To the staff I say “Many thanks for being a wonderful part of our day.”
