Been with First Call for many years over two homes. In terms of responsiveness professionalism and value for money they are second to none. Used this company around 5 years ago to instal a new boiler. In the process, one of their engineers dropped a metal part on my wooden laminate flooring and damaged it dent in the floor. After a failed repair they tried to walk away saying they had 'tried their best' to fix it. Much to'ing and fro'ing later we eventually agreed a compensation amount. Not enough to replace flooring but was the best I was going to get, as they absolutely refused to use their own liability insurance to repair properly. I had left it at that, deciding not to leave a negative review as I had agreed to the compensation for the error and that I would simply not use them again. However, I have recently discovered that when they replaced my old boiler, they didn't do anything about the old flue they just disconnected it and left it and this has been slowly leaking rain water into my loft for years until eventually damaging the celling below. Not sure if this is normal service, or if I was supposed to have this rectified myself but nothing was mentioned when the works were completed. I now have to fix a damp patch in the ceiling and figure out what to do with the old flue. Overall friendly enough people, but I cannot recommend based on my experience and the quality of the work. It's the last 10% that makes the crucial difference and unfortunately, for me at least, that is lacking with 1st Call.Service: Heating system installation
We have recently moved to our bungalow and needed modifications done to the heating system, First Call were excellent, sorted all of our issues out and the engineers who did the work for us were first class. We shall be taking up a heating care plan with them because I feel the job will be done properly when it comes to servicing our system.
