I went here for brunch after being recommended this place quite a few times. I have to admit, a lot of people rave about this place but I’ve been here twice in the past and I can’t for the life of me remember what I ate. Might be a negative that it isn’t that memorable?nnThis time, we got a flavoured tea $3.5, Brioche French Toasted Eggs Benedict $21 and a French Onion Soup $9.nnI am annoyed with the price of the tea… because I have the exact tea at home and you can buy the exact same Twinnings Chamomile from Walmart for a pack of 20 for $5.57.nnAnyways, the boyfriend said his soup was decent. He’s a man of few words.nnMy eggs Benedict was decent as well. The chicken was really good and felt hand breaded butter milk chicken. The hollandaise was really flavourful. While I appreciate crispy hash browns, I’m certain these were frozen. The French toast I had beneath the eggs Benedict reminded me of garlic French toast and I wasn’t sure how to feel about it…nnI think it’s worth visiting, however I wouldn’t order the same dish again. I want to visit another time, maybe for lunch or dinner!
Fireside is always one of my favorite restaurants. I went specifically to have the mussels in white wine sauce yesterday and was disappointed to be told they had changed to a tomato base. I ordered them anyway to give them a try and they were absolutely terrible. The sauce tasted like a tangy thick spaghetti sauce. It was so bad that I tried to finish the dish but finally had to quit. Incredibly disappointing. Please return to the original recipe! They were delicious!nThe spinach risotto was good and a nice change from the sweet pea risotto that they usually serve. A little more variety on the risotto would be nice.nAdina was our server and she was fantastic as always.
Fireside Bistro has a great atmosphere and a cozy, inviting setting. The main courses were absolutely delicious—flavorful, well-seasoned, and cooked to perfection. However, the dessert was a huge disappointment. It lacked freshness and taste, which was surprising after such a great meal. The service was friendly, but the slow pace made the experience less enjoyable. Overall, it’s a good spot for a nice meal, but I’d skip dessert next time.
Looove this placenI end up coming here a lot as we’re billing a house in a community about an hour away so we come through for Home Depot and to fly out and all that stuff and every time we come here I go to the restaurant. The people are great. The food is great atmosphere is great. It’s a 10 10 10 all the way through.
We went here while on a very short visit. The food was fantastic. Everything is freshly prepared and served hot! The ambiance is awesome. We did a tour of the upstairs empty at the time as it is in a house that was built in 1913. Great location for special events and private rooms available! Our server was great. She was very friendly and attentive. Next time I am driving thru, I will definitely be stopping here. We had the Wild Mushroom Fettucine and the Caprese Pesto Chicken. Both prepared and cooked to perfection!
