The worst fish and chips we've ever had. Ordered through Skip app. The halibut was all dough and very little fish. The calamari looked like it was the leftovers from the bottom of the fryer. The fries were mediocre at best. I hope I can post the pictures I took if this extremely disappointing Sunday night dinner. Shame on you Fin City. Next time we'll wait until Duckworths is open.
Best greasy spoon around! Was blown away by portions! If you take a 2 peice plan to split it you where warned Everything was delicious!
Some of the best fish & chips I've had in some time. The only other place that comes even close to this quality of fish and chips is Westside Fish & Chips in Huntsville. Homemade fries and their own homemade batter keeps Orillia coming back for more. This is my first time and will continue to return. Make sure you ask for well done fries - brand new chip truck quality! Thanks for some good eats Fin City!
This restaurant is absolutely fantastic. The fish is great, the fries are some of the best I've ever had, even the coleslaw is good, and I am not a coleslaw person normally. I don't think I've tried a menu item yet that wasn't really good, and I've been quite a few times. Definitely one of my favorite restaurants in town, 10/10, I go there whenever I want to treat myself to a really good meal.
First time at a Fin City and I wasn't sure what to expect. The inside is a little...understated, kinda like a "mom & pop" place. I was so pleased with the entire experience. The food is absolutely delicious and huge portions. The staff was super friendly and made us feel like they truly appreciate their customers. All in all - you have got to try this place! They said they're under new management and have been trying to improve the quality. I'd say they succeeded!
The fish was amazing, it literally had the perfect crisp on the batter my hat's off to the cook. But I rated it only 1 star because the service sucked. Unfortunately the blonde waitress that served us was rude and rolled her eyes when I asked for another drink. Next time I'll just order take out.
Fin city changed hands, worse food ever. I used to order often great meal great amount of chips at a decent price 30 - 40 bucks . I phoned to place an order and the number was disconnected so i went by to see, and it was open so i ordered 2 halibut and chips ....cost 56 bucks it would be fine with me if i got what i used to get, but it wasn't. Greasy fish and not much of it ,mostly batter. Not going back !
We visited this place under the previous management and we were not impressed but had heard it was under new management and we are so glad we gave it another try! We just enjoyed a great fish and chip meal here tonight. We both had the 1 PC haddock and chips and onion rings. Guri cooked both to perfection!. The portion size was perfect. Inder was our server/manager and we were so impressed with his attentiveness and quality service. We will be back for sure!! Thank you Inder and Guri!
Delightful food. The fries were crispy and perfectly salted. Chicken fingers were great. Fish was awesome. Will definitely visit again - likely to become a Friday regular for us
Ordered two fish and chips. One was awesome, the other was just soggy and not very appetizing. I have ordered here several times and this was our only less than perfect meal. Maybe a weird anomaly?
