This is one of our all-time favourite restaurants. The food is spectacular and the service is friendly. Our favourites include the butter chicken and beef korma, but make sure you try the papadums with chutney tray. Honestly, just order a variety of dishes. You won't be disappointed. Vegetarian options: Lots of options. The aloo gobi and channa masala are lovely.
We had a 'short notice' family get together dinner last Sunday and decided to make it really easy. Tandoori has never disappointed us. The food was great and the service at pick-up time super friendly and helpful. Thank YOU!
I only ever get butterchicken, rice and naan, but every time it's delicious, perfect, and creamy. The staff is kind and the food is ready in 20 minutes or less. The atmosphere of the restaurant is relaxing, I wish we could eat in more. I'll have to try some of their other dishes, but for what I have had, it's 10s across the board.
What a disappointment to Indian food. Raw rice, all vegetables made from same sauce. Couldn’t taste any difference. Korma - I couldn’t tell if I was eating Korma or sugary sauce. Least courteous staff. Only item worth eating out of whole dinner was lamb curry. Our 1st and last visit.
The food was good, but I will not dine in here again. I've had good experiences here years ago, but tonight, we were ignored the whole time we were there. We weren't even brought water after asking multiple times. I saw them serve many takeout orders and not pay any attention to those of us 2 couples in house!! trying to have nice date nights. If you can't staff a restaurant, don't offer dine in.
I’ve ordered from here many time, not any more. While passing by today, I had 20 mins to spare I decided I would stop in and have a beverage and warm up a little, I was told NO, sorry NO. Rudely too I might add.
People are super friendly. It's a very small space, located opposite to the I love Chocolate store and very close to the post office, Breadalbane inn. I did a carry out and had asked for spicy one. The food was well made, spices to order, hot and well packed. The food was lacking true flavor, it was hot and spicy but without much flavor. The vegetables in the curry were tooo big and lacked the flavor. The vegetable biryani was more like a palav or kichidi, nothing any close to biryani because the rice was mushy. The garlic naan was ok. Could definitely take a lot of improvement in terms of food flavor.
Love it. Always tasty, great portion sizes for the cost. We are lucky to have this in town!
Very disappointing. Given that rice and Nan is additional it was quite expensive. The butter chicken was bland and the sauce was like water. I am far from being Indian and I make a much better butter chicken in my own kitchen. They are a tandoori house yet their butter chicken is made from plain Jane chicken breast. A really good butter chicken starts with leftover Tandoori chicken and has lots of onions and tomatoes blended into the sauce to give it richness.
Stopped in on a Saturday evening for dinner. 1. Absolutely Make Reservations. We made reservations for 5pm, and the restaurant was full by 6:00pm. This smaller/cozy eating spot, located on the main strip is so popular that there is also a regular / steady stream of people stopping in for take - away. Staff is incredibly dedicated to serving and the kitchen is considerate and accommodating to vegan diners. 2. Let them know if you prefer your meal to be mild. *Not everything comes with rice or naan. We learned that The Tandoori Grill recently acquired a new chef, and we found that some of our previous favourites have had a new life brought to them. Our reasonably priced courses arrived in a timely manner, were hot temperature, really flavourful and balanced in spice distribution, and everything was aromatic and well plated. Staff worked diligently to ensure that our dietary needs were met and that they did everything they could to ensure that we'd return - and I am sure that we will.
