Great shop for a wide variety of Scottish clothing, food and many, many other interesting items. Shopkeeper is very friendly and was a pleasure to chat with on our visit last week, offering lots of interesting things about Fergus, including upcoming events. Thanks so much for letting me film in your shop, which will be in my upcoming Fergus YouTube video.
Absolutely love this store. Very fair costs compared to similar Scottish and UK stores. Staff is SO friendly it's unreal! Tons of selection, they got everything you need even clothes!!
This falls under "You have one chance to make a first impression". After perusing their website and finding merch that I'd like to order I find that this option isn't available despite their website offering a cart, size and colour choice and so on. With questions on why I was having such difficulty ordering these items I decided to phone the store, I spoke to a slightly off-putting lady there with an explanation of the issues I was experiencing and was told "yeah we don't ship, you must come into the store" an impossibility due to my location and proceeded to advise me that the site was just a "look book"??.. So I asked her why the site was set up to give me options to put items into a cart if I am unable to order online and her reply was "yeah it's not a perfect world" with a sarcastic lilt.. Completely put off, I thanked her for absolutely no help whatsoever and hung up the phone. Perhaps she just rubbed me the wrong way, and my expectations were much higher for the interaction. It's unfortunate and honestly unbelievable in these times the lack of common manners, courtesy and any semblance of customer service. I surely hope it wasn't the owner that I spoke with on the phone, if so you certainly didn't persuade me to want to shop at your store.
My absolute favourite shop anywhere. When in town I make a direct line to wander and enjoy...just everyone leave the prawn flavoured crisps to me please. Edinburgh Uni memories!
Kind staff. All sorts of Scottish English and Ulster style goods from back home. High quality kilts, even frozen homemade classics for an ulster fry. My only complaint is that I’d love to see more tayto cheese and onion as I love them! ^_^ great store! Worth a visit and filled with Scottish and UK stuff you can’t get in normal stores. Even if you aren’t from those places checking out the foods and sweets they sell there is a wonderfull treat and new experience ^_^
great shop that does carry some hard to find things such as black and white pudding... worth a drive if you want something Scottish.
I used to pop in here from time to time when I was in the area and followed them on social media. There were several posts of dishes with cute animals on them and since my daughter loves oppossums, I pm'd on FB to see if any had that animal on them. They responded with "You will have to come into the store to look." I was astounded by the lack of customer service. I live 45 minutes away from the store, but even if I had lived 5 minutes away, I would not have gone in with this kind of response. You would think in this economy that customer service would be at its finest. Apparently not.
This place is awesome! Must be the friendliest staff I've seen anywhere. Great selection, including food! The haggis-pot-pie is great, as are the scones. I highly recommend a visit here when you're in town!
Great place to shop for Scottish imports. They get a shipment of frozen and fresh products from the But and Ben bakery in Scarborough every Friday. Good selection of items, plus they sell parts for bagpipes!
Great little shop ! Authentic made in Britain fare. We got a Harris Tweed cap for my hubby. And some locally made Empire Biscuits. We will go back !
