My husband and I had a wonderful time and we want to go back. You'll need at least $300 for 2 people, depending on what you are ordering. The experience, atmosphere, service and food are worth it. My husband and I made a reservation over the phone. It was easy and fast. Since we were running late I called them and they informed me that we had 30 minutes of grace. When we got there, we barely waited. Then they took us quickly to a room at the back with fewer tables and less noise. The restaurant it's beautiful, it has such a great atmosphere. The decorations, the lighting, the seats ... it's a mix of elegance and modern. The room where they took us had less tables and red lighting and it was so romantic. The main server was so nice, patient and knowledgeable. The other servers were very efficient in clearing the table and helping us. The food was amazing. My husband had salad, soup and fish. I had Sushi as an appetizer and Wagyu steak as a main course. as recommended by our server The salad was enough for the both of us and delicious. Everything else was also delicious, tender, well cooked and I didn't wanted to end. The Wagyu steak is the best steak and most expensive $80 for 4 oz. I have ever tasted in my life, so tender, it melted on my mouth. The flavor, the texture ... wow. The desserts were 2 different chocolate desserts made in NY. I went to the bathroom and it's beautiful, clean and it smells like vanilla. We spent around $300, between food and the tip. It was our first time in a restaurant this elegant and we want to go back. We highly recommended.
I was out with some friends and looking for a place to eat before an exhibition we were going to. I found this restaurant doing a Google search and I am so happy I did. The food was so good and the service was excellent. We will be going back later. It is a pricey restaurant but great for special occasions.
We came here to try their A5 wagyu steak and it was great. The pineapple chicken was also really good and the sushi. They had some loud music playing that made us feel like we were in a club and I did not appreciate that. We expected to have dinner with some good and calm ambiance, but the loud music ruined the experience for me. I don't know how that was a good idea playing that type of club music at a restaurant.
5 Star Food 3 Star Service 4 star ambience This is a step into the fine dining. So if you’re looking for Longhorn Steakhouse menus prices, this ain’t it. Rated by many to have the best sushi in the state and my wife loves sushi so it was a no brained. My wife tried yellow tail for the first time and enjoyed it along with salmon & tuna sushi. While eating the sushi, before she finished her food she asked could I bring her back. The Host male form of hostess I hope seen our reservation… Told my wife Happy Birthday & showed us to our seats. When we left he gave us another happy birthday. He didn’t have to remember but he did and that sets this place apart from others. I head a delicious steak. It didn’t come with any sides and really didn’t need to but I ordered the shrimp fried rice. Large wine selection and even had a nice wine display near where I was sitting. Areas for improvement: My waitress was also the bartender. I’m not sure at what time the start to give dedicated waitresses but this almost made the review 3 stars. She was VERY NICE… however she had too much going on to provide the detailed service I would have liked. At one point she totally forgot my drink. I’m not blaming it on her but, because she had multiple tables. I ordered fried rices with no veggies. There were veggies in it. I had one half a spoon of the rice and left it there for the duration of the meal time. I have a pet peeve, which is sending food back… so I didn’t send it back. However it would have been nice of her to notice the rice had not been touched at all and at least ask was something wrong. Also you’ll notice, on one of the paper menus has a dirt fingerprint which did not come from me. I was given the menu like that. I think paper menus should be discarded after use. The service wasn’t worth the +18%. The food was worth the $150+. Let’s end on a good note. That chicken was some of the crispiest I’ve ever had. Some of those prices weren’t traditional “wings”… However they were good. I didn’t enjoy the Asian bbq sauce but it may be an acquired taste.
Absolutely delicious Valentine's dinner tonight! Outstanding service & the food was amazing. An incredibly diverse menu as well! From the Wagu beef Nigri all the way to the best real creme brulee, everything was amazing! One of my top 3 favorite restaurants! Shout out to Matthew - the GM. 5 Stars! Food: 5/5
Beautiful decor with great music, very cool vibe and delicious food...winning combination! Everything we ordered was very nicely presented and very well prepared. Very enjoyable!
Expensive but amazing. After one visit it's deffinitely in my top 3 local favs. I am a ribeye guy but I ordered the American Wagyu NY strip and it could possibly be the best steak I have ever eaten. My brothers got the other cuts and I tried them as well. Everything was delicious. Also great vibes. Awesome dark ambiance and cool music. Highly recomend for a date night or a celebratory dinner.
My wife and I enjoyed our dinner at this fine restaurant in downtown Hartford. For my wife’s birthday it was recommended by our son who is a gastronomic consultant for us. First, I wanted to try the Japanese Wagyu Beef Steak $80, 4 oz, Grade A5 is supposedly the most expensive steak in the world. In addition to that we had the Sushi Jalapeño Roll; Chicken Wings, and Crème Brûlée. Service was very good and professional. The prices are reasonable and the atmosphere was pleasant though we wish they turned up the house light a bit more, not a big deal though. We will return and partake of some of their other fine offerings.
This place is expensive but that's just how it is when you go out to a nice place like this. Well worth it. Server was amazing and very helpful and patient. Very interesting options. I probably tried 15 different things picking off everyone's plates, and they were all on point. Apps, entrees, sides, drinks, desserts. Everything was very very good. Only complaint is my lobster was kinda cold. I would definitely come back.
Had dinner at Fengs recently in Downtown Hartford. The ambience of the restaurant is incredible inside. I love the lighting and upscale feel you get from the seating and dining areas. There was no wait times, which is cool for a Friday night. The food was ok, for the prices of the menu I expected a lot more. We got three high end sushi rolls, one being the surf and turf roll that included their wagyu steak and lobster. The wagyu steak is priced at $80 on the menu but I definitely didn’t taste the higher quality cut in the sushi roll. The other sushi rolls were fine, but not worth $20 each. I would go back for drinks because of the ambience and good music, not so much for the food.
