I love the resources they offer and most importantly that they take care of you four times per year so you are never stressed. The "books" are always done. And they are all done electronically so they are always accessible. Highly recommended!

I have been dealing with Michel Deslaunais for a few years now with FBC. He has helped me through many tax years and I could not ask for better. He is personable and knows his stuff. I am very comfortable with him looking after the taxes and would not like to have anyone replace him. Keep up the good work Michel…and you are never allowed to retire!

FBC will take advantage of you for being uneasy about taxes. The amount you pay for their service is extraordinary. But they get away with it by buttering you up with smooth salesman talk and twisting your arm until you write them a cheque. Their main scare tactic is that the CRA will audit you unless you are "protected" by FBC. A company shouldn't rely on fear to sell their products/services. They hire inexperienced reps who often know little about taxes or accounting, promising them fast cash that doesn't happen which is why they have a very high employee turnover rate. Basically the company's main flaw is their extreme focus on sales while the actual accounting work becomes secondary in importance and suffers as a result. Save yourself the trouble, donʼt fall for their false promises, and get your taxes and/or bookkeeping done by a legitimate bookkeeper or accountant (someone who doesn't lock you in by making you pay for the current and following year's work upfront before it's begun, like FBC does). Overall a dishonest business that preys on farmers' trusting, honest nature. Don't let them talk you into paying hundreds--sometimes thousands--for a tax return. Even if you sold your farm years ago and are living off CPP, they will still try to take hundreds from you each year. FBC is not your friend. Don't confuse your relief of having someone else "take care" of your taxes with the actual satisfaction of work being professionally done and money well spent. Do some research on this company online (like Ripoff Report or reviews on their main branch location) before you believe FBC's claims.
