We dined here as it was recommended by a friend. Mr. Wonderful likes chicken fried steak, I mean, he *really likes chicken fried steak and this place is known for theirs. Fat Moose Bar and Grill is just that, a bar and grill. The interior is eclectic and homey. We believe that most of the patrons dining were regulars. As I have mentioned before, I’ll mention it again; this is a good sign! If you can keep your locals coming back for more, you’re doing something right. And these folks are doing something right! My husband ordered an Alaskan Amber Ale and I had a boozy coffee. They are very generous with their pours! Which was appreciated because I was chilled to the bone, that beverage warmed me up in a flash! Lauri was our server and she embodies what it takes to be an exceptional server. We felt welcome and catered to! She did not miss a beat and truly enriched our dining experience. So let’s talk about what we’re here for… the chicken fried steak! To begin with this thing was ginormous! Most normal people could turn it into three or four meals! Mr. Wonderful ate the entire portion in one sitting. So to date, this is the best Chicken Fried Steak that he has had the pleasure of devouring. In closing we agree with our friend’s recommendation to dine here. We will be returning to try some of their daily specials! Check them out and see what’s being offered!
Comfortable, friendly and clean, The food is top-notch. I had the All-You-Can-Eat-Fish_N-Chips. It was made from fresh fillets of fish, not ground-up bits. It was hand-dipped in a very light and crispy coating that didn't separate from the fish. We also ordered a bacon cheeseburger which was excellent. I highly recommend this place!
Our food was very good, for those who like gizzards they were delicious. Staff was attentive and helpful. Cheeseburger was really good and chicken fried steak was great as well. Kid-friendliness: Kids are allowed until 9pm. Parking: Giant gravel parking lot. Wheelchair accessibility: No steps
On a trip up the west coast my wife and I swung by this amazing little bar. The food was typical pub food, but it was cooked to perfection and the decor was super cool if ya like Moose. The staff was really friendly and this would be a great place to watch a game. Wish it was closer to me on the East Coast or I would be a regular.
I had been wanting to try this place out for so long! I am SUPER disappointed. The food and drinks were good. Not complaining there. Our server was awful. First thing when we walked in I smiled at her and she rolled her eyes. Literally acted like we were ruining her life ordering things or asking questions. Also brought the check at the same time we got our food.... Older brunette. DONT let her be your server.
Food and drinks were good, prices great. Not sure if waitress with long dark hair was having a bad day or has an attitude problem but we almost just walked out she was so bad. Apparently she wasn't too impressed with us either because once she took our order she just walked around us. Didn't refill my coffee when she brought the pot around to everyone else, didn't ask if i wanted another Bloody Mary when my glass was empty, we just ceased to exist. The redhead who was also working was wonderful. Professional, friendly, obviously busy but no attitude about having to pick up the other girl's slack. Not sure if I'd bother going back. Food and prices were good but not really into putting up with a waitress who makes it clear my presence is a problem while dramatically rolling her eyes and huffing at me.
I had high hopes for this place and was let down hard. Very pricey and the quality of food did not match. My salad sat in the kitchen for quite sometime just out in the open instead of being in the fridge. I could see it from where I was sitting My chili on my chili cheese fries we a little warmer than room temp, fries were over cooked and would crumble when squeezed in between my fingers. The time we waited for our food was ridiculous. The service wasn’t great either. Drink refills were offered once we were ready for the ticket to leave. After being home for several hours I began to have a stomach ache and ended up with diarrhea. In my OPINION don’t waist your time or money on this place.
It's a bar and grill. Kids are allowed in up to about 9pm. Large porportions of food. Prime rib is great! $21.95 for a 10 oz. Great prices. On this Saturday Chicken Fried steak was $8.95 when you buy a drink. Came with a large salad. Huge chicken fried steak with a potato choice. Drinks with refills $2.75. They have dinner specials every night. This place is a gem! Wheelchair accessibility: No problem getting into the place.
This is a friendly local please. The food was great and the happy hour beer prices were the lowest I have ever seen. The best part of our visit was our server, SamanthaFood: 4/5
All you can eat Fish and chips Friday. Fries are great. Fish was good. No refill on fries just fish. Their tarter sauce is oddly sweet.
